The trip to Petra was amazing. The only complaint was that the driver, though a really nice guy, was not really English proficient!

Zaid Tours & Travel arranged for a fantastic guide (Abdullah Ahmad Mousa) at Petra, who was extremely knowledgeable about local history and culture, fluent in English, engaging, funny - and flexible about our priorities. He helped us field the many vendors trying to sell services, while also recommending experiences we might enjoy. Overall, the perfect guide for us. We would have liked to have more time, but our day was shorted by late arrival of the driver from the port to Petra. Three months prior to the tour, the operator (Zaid Tours & Travel) confirmed - in a message in the Viator app - that they would pick us up at 6:30am, given that we could disembark at 6:00am needed to be back on our ship by 5:00pm. Three days prior to our tour, we reached out in the Viator app - and after 2 days had not received a reply so we started calling. The listed number had a message saying that the office was closed - but we called at 5:15pm and the message said their office hours ended at 6:30pm. We then called the first emergency number listed - no answer. We called the second emergency number, and were told that our pickup had been changed to 7:30am. The problems with communication, and their subsequent dismissive tone about our concerns, soured us a bit with Zaid Tours & Travel, but they did deliver on a great tour, a very nice driver, and we got back to our ship on time. Overall, I'd work with them again but would communicate more frequently to reconfirm all elements and expectations.

Such an enjoyable tour. Our driver, Osama was right on time to pick us up from our cruise ship. He was a wealth of local information as he drove us to Petra. Our private guide met us there and walked with us into Petra and he explained the different areas of the site. Petra is huge and amazing. Our driver lent us a local phone so we could contact him when we were ready to leave. He took us to a local place for lunch and he even stopped and bought me some cookies that I enjoyed at lunch. We drove back to our ship after a quick tour of Aqaba with plenty of time before sailing. I would recomend this tour.
