Jebel Khazali
Khazali canyon is very popular as it is home to some of the best petroglyphs in the region, illustrating over 12000 years of occupation in the region, ranging from stone age depictions of lions and elephants to modern day arabic of pilgrims to Mecca. Further in, you reach a section that rapidly steps up into a series of basins and dry waterfalls. It creates a challenging adult playground! We'll then to the first rock bridge of the day: Little bridge.
Burdah Bridge is famous for its 35m high natural arch formation. It is one of the highest arch structures in the world. The trek is 300 m above sea level and takes roughly 2.5 hours. But that's part of another desert adventure! Here, we will stop for about 15 minutes to take pictures and walk around. We'll then visit another canyon: Abu Khashaba canyon. You will walk through the narrow canyon, which will take you about 45 minutes, and I'll meet you on the other side.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
We will then take you to Umm Fruth rock bridge. Best seen in the late afternoon light, Umm Fruth Rock Bridge is tucked away in a remote corner of the desert and can be easily climbed without gear.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
We'll then head towards the red sand dune, a very popular attraction for kids who love running down and try their hand at sandboarding. So bring out the child in you!
Wadi Rum Protected Area
After lunch, we'll head towards the white part of Wadi Rum desert. Situated on the border with Saudi Arabia, that untouched part of Wadi Rum offers amazing open views. And we will finish with a beautiful sunset from a unique spot.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast
In the morning, I will make fire and prepare tea and food. I'll serve you hummus, labne, olives and bread.
Wadi Rum Village
On the second day, we will enjoy the sunrise, eat breakfast and have a nice cup of tea. Then I'll take you back to your camp or to the village.

Highly recommend Rakan and his family run operations. We took multiple tours with Rakan, his nephew Saher and cousin Fufu, and I must say, they are very knowledgeable about the desert, fun to be with and go to great lengths to make your experience a memorable one. We were not just shown the 'usual/touristy' spots, but were also taken to nomadic Bedouin camps deep in the desert and saw the bedouin lifestyle and their cattle and camels. Can also highly recommend the night-time star gazing experience, which Rakan took great pains to deliver a stellar experience for us - finding the perfect cave driving in the dead of the night to get us the best view of the night sky. There is truly no request too large for this family. They go above and beyond each time! We were in two minds, coming to Jordan for the first time from India, if we should stay in one of the more popular 'bubble tents' or stay in a Bedouin family run camp for an authentic desert experience, and I must say we were supremely delighted with the decision we took. Rakan - keep up the good work buddy. I wish your business prospers and you get a chance to show more tourists from around the world your incredible home. And for the pair of binoculars which I promised to send over as a gift, I will surely do so as soon as I can convince a friend/relative to come and stay next with you in Wadi Rum!

I went to Jordan with my friends in December this year, and just writing this review gives me chills. With Rakan we spent an incredible day, from the amazing food to the words we shared by the fire, and the best tea of my life.

We chose Rakan as our guide in Wadi Rum because he offers rock climbing as part of the experience. The rock climbing with his brother Salama (who trained in Chamonix) was stellar. But Rakan went above and beyond to coordinate an amazing trip for us in every respect. We requested a sunset horseback ride, which he kindly arranged, even it is not one of his standard offerings. He also scheduled a sunrise camel ride. Some friends of ours warned us to pack our own water, since most guides would not offer enough for 90+ degree weather. Rakan thoughtfully ensured plentiful amounts of cool, bottled water were always available. He's also just a genuinely enjoyable, interesting person to talk to. You will not regret booking him as your guide! By the way, Rakan mentioned that he loves 85% Belgian chocolate. If you engage him as a guide, I'm sure he would be thrilled if you brought some as a gift!

I made 2 days of visit with Rakan. It was a really great experience!! I visited the “White desert” and the “red desert”, full of magnificent views!! Rakan and his family are very kind, kind and did everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible. His nephew Laher cooked us a delicious meal in the middle of the desert. In the evening, Rakan took me to a semi-open cave to see the stars, a magical experience. Don’t hesitate to visit him to discover Wadi Rum, try the tea (or rather the “Bedouin whisky”)!!

The tour we did was absolutely amazing. Could not recommend it enough, Wadi Rum is really somewhere everyone should visit! Rakan was an excellent guide, fun, knowledgeable and professional. It was such a treat meeting him and his family and learning about Bedouin ways of life. We got driven around in the jeep, saw all the main spots and then watched the sunset to an open fire. Thank you so much for having us! We will be back

Very warm welcome. Rakan is a friendly, generous and very helpful host. The food was excellent. It was my first time in Jordan (solo), and Wadi rum completely dazzled me. The jeep ride was amazing, I will definitely come back. I strongly recommend this camp for its beautiful scenery, not to mention the sunsets / sunrise and stars.

I attended both the Red Desert Tour and White desert Tour. Both were UNBELIEVABLE. Each told had 8+ destinations ranging from gentle hiking activities, scenic lookouts, and unique landscapes. We traveled to each via jeeps with a private driver. Each tour was very different, the Red Tour had lots of iconic scenes from movies and viral photo spots. Whereas the White Tour was much less touristic and quieter - it was my favourite as we went to the Saudi Arabia boarder and Jordans highest mountain. Our guides, Yosef and Rakan, were amazing. Both are local men who have extensive knowledge of the desert, as well as the cuisine, customs and traditions. They love sharing their culture and enjoy tourists company. The lunch was amazing and cooked by the guides fresh at the lunch spot. It was so delicious and even better watching them cook it in front of us and explain the dish! I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Rakan providers a wonderful experience. Both the Jeep tour with his cousin and the full day climbing with his brother were extraordinary. The climbing equipment is excellent and as a climbing instructor I can vouch that all the safety procedures are up to spec. Both the night in the camp and the night in a cave were wonderful, with very welcoming and friendly hosts, comfortable beds, and excellent food. Rakan is super fast in responding to emails and WhatsApp messages and flexible to accommodate whatever was needed. Extremely highly recommended!
