5.00I booked this photography tour thinking it would just be walking around Old Dhaka taking some pictures… but it turned out to be much more than that. The day started early, and from the beginning it felt very real. Not a “tourist version” of the city. We went through busy streets, small alleys, markets — places I would never find on my own. The shipyard visit was the most surprising part for me. I had never seen anything like that before. Huge boats being repaired right next to the river, workers moving around, sparks flying… it’s a bit chaotic but very fascinating. You’ll notice quickly that people are curious but friendly. Many smiled, some even invited us to take photos. That made the experience much more personal. Our excellent guide sharmin played a big role here. She knew exactly where to go, when the light is good, and how to interact with locals. Highly Recommended even if you are not a photographer!
Best way to experience Dhaka and get some awesome photos.

5.00I visited Bangladesh and joined the Dhaka Street Photography tour with Bangladesh Expeditions. It was a really nice experience overall. Guide Shahriar was friendly and knew the city well. We walked through busy streets and local areas that I wouldn’t have found by myself. The best part for me was the shipyard across the river. It is a very unique place with lots of real-life moments to capture. Though it was hot outside, we captured a lot of photos. If you like street photography or want to see a different side of Dhaka, this tour is definitely worth it.
