What To Expect
Taman Ayun Temple
This is the royal temple of the Mengwi Empire built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu. The temple was built as a family temple to deified ancestors. It is set on the land which is surrounded by a large fish pond and appears as if it is drifting on water. It features a multi storied roof and Balinese architecture.
Ulun Danu Bratan Temple
The drive will go to the first temple called Ulun Danu Temple. It is a temple floating on the famous lake of Beratan. It is a very important temple of water to worship the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Beratan as a main source irrigation in central Bali.

5.00I had the most amazing day on this tour! From start to finish, everything was organized, smooth, and beyond my expectations. My tour guide was absolutely incredible friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. This tour honestly became one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. I felt safe, well-taken-care-of, and so much more informed about the local culture. I cannot recommend it enough. If you’re coming to Bali, this tour and this amazing guide is an absolute must!

5.00The driver Bagus is very responsive and arrived at the port on time. He guided us all the way. He made sure everyone stayed together and took breaks for coffee and bathroom time. We had a very nice tour despite the traffic is bad but he were able to take us back to the port on time for our cruise.

5.00We had an amazing day on this UNESCO sites tour. Our driver Manik was incredible — so warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Balinese culture with us. He explained the history behind each temple, pointed out details we would’ve missed, and made the whole day feel effortless. The sites were stunning, especially the rice terraces, and the tour was really well organised from start to finish. It’s a full day with plenty of driving, but Manik made it comfortable and engaging the whole way. We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bali — it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Can be a LOT of driving and sitting in traffic, but worth it if you want to see UNESCO sites

4.00We enjoyed our day with Oka, our driver. He did an amazing job of navigating very busy/not moving traffic situations. I want to preface this with, if you're staying in Nusa Dua, there is an extra hour on both ends of this trip to get to/from where you need to be fot the tour. I'm giving this 4 stars because, from a perspective of seeing UNESCO sites, we expected less tourism in these sacred spaces. Tanah Lot temple was ridiculously touristy, with vendors chasing you down with magnets and do-dads as we're trying to get a picture of a temple you can't get near. We rushed to leave, which is a shame because it's very beautiful with waves crashing on the rocks around the temple. It was a long drive into the mountains to see Ulun Danu Bratan temple on Lake Bratan. There was a Hindu ceremony going on in the actual temple, which was super cool, and many people in sacred spaces meditating and praying. The rest of the grounds were set up as numerous photo opps, which in this instance was great, because there were lots of places to be, to spread out in, and to breathe. The rice terraces at Jatiluwih were the highlight of the day for us. If you see one thing in Bali, this is it! No swings, no zipline, no infinity pool. Just beautiful rice terraces that you can walk thru, take pictures of, and enjoy. We had lunch buffet at the Jatiluwih Resto, overlooking the terraces, and it was the BEST buffet we've had in Bali, and we've had a lot. Highly recommend the mie goreng (not salty!) and the black rice pudding with coco milk. OMG, good. The last temple was cool in that it was not at all touristy, we could walk thru it, and there was a film that explained the royal connection to this space. It was a 2hr drive back to our hotel in Nusa Dua, but not Oka's fault. There was heavy traffic/not moving in both Denpasar and Sanur. He was gracious, patient and a joy to travel with all day. If you need to cross UNESCO sites off your bucket list, then this is a good tour for you. If you're staying in Nusa Dua, pack your patience. If you want to experience Hindu temples without sales vendors, there are other options. Don't miss the Jatilawih rice terraces though!!

5.00Highly recommend the "Private Full-Day Tour: Best UNESCO sites in Bali"!!! We had an amazing day with Gus Kumara as he showed us around the ancient temples and UNESCO protected rice terrace sites around Bali. He explained the history behind each of the sites and was so patient as we took all the beauty in. We had lovely chats in the car driving from place to place, where Gus helped us understand what day-to-day life is like in Bali, from family life to schooling. He also explained the history of Bali. We learnt so much about this beautiful island and felt like one of the locals by the end of it. Gus was highly professional, particularly when driving in the heavy rain which occurred the end of the tour and navigating the flooded roads and congested traffic. Thank you Gus for creating a highly memorable trip for myself and my family.

5.00This was a wonderful daytrip. Our driver & guide, Bagus toured us around the major historical & cultural sites in Ubud. He was informative, funny and provided a lot of interesting background information on Balinese culture. The traffic was hectic, but stops were spaced out perfectly, every stop was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had an amazing time during this trip. The temples are amazing. We also added Leke Leke Waterfall to our tour as we already saw the rise field during other trip and it was not a problem at all. Only thing we had to do to pay the entry fee by our sefls. Big thanks to our guide who took a picturs for us and take care of us for whole day - you made the trip for us unforgetable :)

5.00I highly recommend this tour. Our driver Astrawan was outstanding. The weather conditions were difficult that day and we almost cancelled due to the rain but I’m so glad we didn’t. Astrawan was super friendly and shared a lot of information about Balinese culture. Ulun Danu Beratan temple was beyond my expectations. The scenery there will take your breath away. Thank you Astrawan for a truly memorable experience!
