5.00She was a great find for our Galway walking tour. We enjoyed the way she described the history of the town. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She included local history, folk tales and myths in her descriptions of the area. She accommodated some special needs (like a place to get a hat for the rain), where to buy a genuine Claddagh ring and where to enjoy local music at a pub. She did little things like adjust her speaking volume when a bus passed, got close to my mother for her to hear a little better, and asked if we had any special requests or facts we wanted to know. When she wasn’t sure of an answer she looked up an answer on her phone right away.

5.00Such an amazing tour! Candela’s knowledge and passion for the history of Galway is unreal, she knew basically everything and had the answer to any question I had. I loved the tour and would recommend it to any visitor - whether you’re Irish and want to learn more about the history of Galway like me, or from abroad. Also included a tour of the red earls hall, and a stop at lynchs castle, and lynchs memorial near the church.
