Tour guide was an amazing art expert with fun and interesting facts about the architecture, founder, master painters, artwork and artists’ techniques. She had a great sense of humor and taught us so much. The time sped by and left us wanting more.

Ellen Greenberg gave our family a fantastic tour of the Getty Museum. We're 5 people ranging in age from 29 to 85. My ankle was injured, so I needed a wheelchair. Ellen was patient, kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She obtained the wheelchair for us, and waited for a few of us who arrived late. The Getty's a large museum, so Ellen showed us highlights that we had time to see in our 2 hour tour. She talked about the architecture of the museum, and the process of building it. She showed us art by Rembrandt, Bernini, artists in Leonardo da Vinci's studio, and a couple of dozen others. Ellen was engaging. She encouraged us to ask her questions, and asked us questions to enliven the tour. She came well prepared with a big bag of laminated pictures that she used to illustrate her discussion of the art. Her tour made our visit to the Getty much more enjoyable and informative than it would have been without her.

We had a great private tour with Ellen. We learned so much from her and we would have been clueless navigating the Getty without her. She brought along pictures to add historical context to the artwork and it was both educational and entertaining. She is a wealth of knowledge.

There’s a lot to see at the Getty, and this tour was an excellent introduction and overview for a first visit. Ellen took us around the galleries highlighting key pieces and providing a unique commentary that really kept us engaged. Would definitely arrive early, since parking, security check and tram ride takes much longer than you would think.

We have been on a LOT of museum / art tours around the world. This one was hands down our favorite across the family. We had 3 kids age 8- 13 and 3 adults. Ellen is simply fabulous and incredibly knowledgable. She is amazing. We all had fun and learned a ton too!
