What To Expect
Pingvellir National Park
First, take you through the Reykjavik greater area in the direction of Thingvellir National Park. This is a fantastic place to learn about the history of Iceland. You will enjoy walking between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, seeing beautiful waterfalls, as well as the original parliament building, the birthplace of Icelandic government.
Gullfoss
Here you will have the option to take a break, shop for souvenirs, eat and get coffee. Or continue on to Gulfoss (Golden Waterfall). It is one of the area’s most beautiful waterfalls and deep history. If you like rainbows, you are almost sure to see one here.

5.00We really enjoyed this private tour. Our guide was friendly and informative. We were picked up directly from our hotel and explored several locations on the golden circle. There were a few surprises like a trip to an organic ice cream shop inside a dairy. You don't want to miss it! The massive waterfall was one of the most awe-inspiring sites I have ever seen and there is a great story to it as well. Ended with a relaxing soak in the secret lagoon...perfect way to end the day. We never felt rushed and had an amazing time.

5.00We just finished our private day tour to the Golden Circle with my husband and teenage daughters and had the best experience. Not only was Andres super knowledgeable about the major attractions (as you would expect), he shared so many other interesting stories about the history of Iceland and took us to a few off the route sites in town that he thought would be of interest to us. He is outgoing, gracious, considerate and super easy to engage with, even with two teens. The little details like where to stand for the optimal video/picture opportunities at the Geyser and better restaurants to eat at the major sites really gave that extra touch and made our trip special. Despite the poor weather for Northern Lights so far, he continues to track for us , from his experience and not just what you google on websites etc to hope that we can catch a glimmer before we take off. Highly recommend and a much better personalized experience than a larger group tour if it makes sense for your group.

5.00Andreas was wonderful! Communication was good. We did the golden circle and hit all the highlights. Andreas was very knowledgeable and was the perfect guide. We went at our own pace and had the best day. Andreas did not rush us and allowed us time to enjoy each place we visited. We came away knowing a great deal about Iceland and the sites we visited. I would hunky recommend Mercury Grail.

5.00This was a private golden Circle tour for our group of 6. Andres our guide from mercury grail Icelandic adventures was outstanding! He customized the tour to our group spending as much or as little time as we eat each stop! Andres was able to share interesting stories about each site and took us to the best spots to capture some amazing photos. He also made some outstanding recommendations for food and restaurants!

5.00Andres is everything you would want for a tour guide to these amazing destinations in Iceland. He is knowledgeable, professional and personable. He shared his wealth of knowledge of the area with us including the history. He also took very good care of us dropping us off close to the venues. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and highly recommend him for any Iceland tours.

5.00Private trip was best way to go. Our guide Andres was a local who shared interesting facts and stories and background that were special. Also gave us the flexibility to stay as little or as long as we liked at the various stops. and offered to go off script to a local farm for special organic ice cream. Picked us up at cruise terminal and dropped at hotel. Then suggested best sites to visit the next day in Reykjavik based on our interests. Great day! Highly recommend Andres.

5.00We were a group of 4. Andres was an EXCELLENT guide. He adapted our day to show us the best sites in the time we had before our cruise ship was departing and managed time extremely well, allowing us to see amazing sites and also do some shopping. Andres was great at telling us about what we we were seeing as well as life in Iceland. We also had a problem with a future excursion at another port and Andres made some phone calls, found us an alternative and helped us book and arrange it. So greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this tour and Andres. Thank you for a wonderful day and for being so informative, fun and kind

5.00Andres provided us with a wonderful tour through the Golden Circle from Reykjavik yesterday. It was relaxing and packed with beautiful sightseeing. Andres listened as my wife discuss her love of horses, and surprised us with a stop to feed and pet a few. What a great day!
