Starting with Oak Creek Canyon, one of americas most beautiful drives, then next on to the lava flows at Sunset Crater, and the 2800 Pueblos at Wupatki National monument, all while exploring the the ancient landscape the same way the natives had, so that when one arrives to the Grand Canyon they come in with full breath of readiness to experience it (we are the only company that spends time at multiple spots in each park). The journey before the Grand Canyon is majority exploring the painted desert! Before entering the Canyon we stop for lunch at the famous Cameron Trading post, then off to the East entrance, where we explore 4 points of interest to entirely take the day in, finally exiting at the south entrance. We take the the time to walk for an hour along the Rim path at the last destination, in Grand Canyon Village.
This is the most comprehensive and fulfilling day trip Journey. One could have to the Grand Canyon.

Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument
Explore the most recent lava flow in Arizona as well as the unique landscape that is so one of a kind,
Wupatki National Monument
Nestled between the Painted Desert and ponderosa highlands of northern Arizona, Wupatki is a landscape of legacies. Ancient pueblos dot red-rock outcroppings across miles of prairie. Where food and water seem impossible to find, people built pueblos, raised families, farmed, traded, and thrived. Today, if you linger and listen, earth and artifacts whisper their stories to us still.

My sister and I did the Private Grand Canyon Ultimate Day Tour with Connor a few days ago. We have done several trips together around the world and have had great tours and guides on those trips, but this day spent with Connor is on a par with our favorite one in Egypt. It was awesome and an experience to remember – not just because of the amazing things we saw during the tour, but because of how great Connor is as a guide with the depth and breadth of his knowledge about the area, the geology, the natural history and the history about the past cultures who lived there. He is so familiar with the various sites and places to go, and he knows when and where to go to certain places, so we got the best views and without huge crowds. Most of the information was in his head, but he was also great at using the information he had to supplement what was available at the site’s descriptions – see pic. Connor typically starts his tours in Sedona, but we were staying in Flagstaff, and he was very willing to pick us up there. During the drives to all the various sites, Connor gave us so much good background and information, but he was also really fun to talk with about so many other topics. We all basically never stopped talking the whole trip! 😊 He took us to the best place (Cameron Trading Post) for lunch that also had a great shop attached with many beautiful authentic native American items for purchase. He also got us a card to get a 10% discount on what we bought. We of course took dozens of pictures, and most guides will take good pics of you, but Connor also had a great idea for a picture when we were at a site across the canyon from the Grand Canyon Desert View Watchtower which I’ve attached. We each held up our hands and he captured the Watchtower in between our fingers as if we were holding it. If you’re considering tour options around the Grand Canyon and other surrounding sites, don’t hesitate at all to contact Connor to book your tour. He has many other options. He communicates very well with you ahead of time via email and is very easy to work with to plan the best for you. Thank you, Connor, for a wonderful addition to our Trips of a Lifetime!! Excellent tour with Connor who was both knowledgeable and personable. Great respect shown for native cultures. We saw and learned a lot. We were able to see a lot in a short period of time. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking.

We had a great day checking out three monuments and parks. My wife and I had driven ourselves there 25 years ago but I wanted to actually enjoy the ride this time, and have the benefit of a guide who could take us to the best stops. Connor was a wonderful guide. It was a long day but Connor was a fountain of information and kept the conversation and information coming. I’m a sponge for information so I probably asked a million questions but Connor was enthusiastic about archeology and geology and history and just kept answering everything. Even my wife, who hates long car rides, felt like it was worthwhile and she had learned a lot and that we saw a lot more than we had on our previous self-guided trip. The trip is well worth anyone’s time, and I have no doubt that we will consider a guided trip to the petrified forest when we inevitably return in 5 years or so.

Wow what an amazing adventure we had. Connor was so knowledgeable, kind and knew all the beautiful spots. A trip of a lifetime! We loved the private car, pick up from our Sedona short term rental and learning so much along the way. If you’re on the fence go with this company they will not disappoint!

Connor gave my husband and I a spectacular Grand Canyon experience. He has deep knowledge of the geology and history of the area and provided us with insightful discussion about the local culture and flora. He’s passionate about his work, respectful and a conscientious driver! We highly recommend him and look forward to another tour when we return to Sedona. Doreen & Bill

You will not regret either of these tours with Conner! My family of 5 took the Antelope Canyon full day tour (+ Glen Canyon Dam, Cameron Trading post and a bonus dinosaur track side trip) and the VIP Grand Canyon tour (+ Pueblo ruins and volcanic rock walk) and had an unforgettable time! Conner is so knowledgeable and shared so much about the ancient history, geology, the formations of the canyons, as well as information about the flora and fauna in the areas we drove through . The drives were long but Conner always kept us entertained! Would recommend him highly to any one who wants a once in a lifetime experience!!
