5.00Belay was an exceptional guide when we went to Lalibela with my family. His rich knowledge of the history of lalibela is on par with his ability to express it in a fluent english. Furthermore, since he's a local to the city he knows the best places to eat and relax with a magnificent view of the landscape. I couldn't recommend him more.

4.00I had an amazing experience with my tour guide, Belay, in Lalibela. From the very first day, he picked me up from the airport so kindly and made me feel very welcome. He guided me through the incredible Lalibela churches, sharing detailed explanations and fascinating history along the way. On Sunday, we continued our journey to the most famous church, St. George, where his knowledge and passion for Lalibela’s history made the experience even more special. Belay is professional, friendly, and very attentive. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Lalibela—you will truly enjoy your time with him!

4.00I had a good experience of the region of Lalibela with the tour guide Belay. He accompanies me to the southern and northern churches (11 total) and he gave a brief explanation of the history and significance of the churches for the local people. The whole trip was finished in around 3-4 hours since we went through all of them in quick succession, with Belay answering all my questions. He has a good idea of lot many things not just about the churches but also about the cultures of other countries like India. I was surprised by this. He is a local so you can be carefree while touring with him since he knows many in that region. He also offered to take some snaps of me with the sites in the background.

5.00Lalibela is really an amazing place buzzing with history. I had a great time visiting the churches and a hike to the mountain to enjoy the views. Belay is a great experienced guide with a lot of knowledge of the history of Lalibela. I can truly recommend everyone to visit this place!
