Live a unique adventure in the palm grove of Skoura, a preserved natural environment in the heart of Morocco, with our mountain bike excursion. As a child of Skoura and an experienced guide with many years of practice, I am delighted to introduce you to the wonders of my native region. You will be amazed by the panoramic mountain views, while learning the history of the exceptional irrigation system that feeds the palm grove.
All the activities and visits mentioned here are optional for travelers, according to their wishes.
Homestay tea break and if you wish we can organize a delicious meal at a local family. Also possible to visit the Kasbah Amridil, a fortress dating from the 17th century, a true emblem of Skoura and its majestic kasbahs. Meet talented artisans such as potters and weavers. In addition you can discover the olive oil and goat cheese cooperatives in the region.

Also optional. Visit and demonstration at Mohamed le Potier, Skoura's smile! A moment of exchange and good humor where Mohamed shares his know-how and his life as a traditional craftsman with incomparable kindness. The kids are fans! They usually leave with a small creation made on site. Small souvenir shop on site with the traditional objects that Mohammed makes. Free price, about 1 hour.
Kasbah Amridil
A visit to Kasbah Amridil is not mandatory, it's up to you! It is the jewel of Skoura, testimony to the cultural and architectural heritage of the region. Formerly Skoura was a rich and prosperous territory thanks to trade and agriculture, the village is dotted with many majestic kasbahs, most of them abandoned. The Kasbah Amridil has always been maintained by the family of the owners and offers you an immersion in the history and culture of Skoura. This visit of approximately 1 hour is in addition at an attractive price.

5.00We enjoyed a guided tour on mountain bikes with Abdul today. The ride took us through the local kasbahs and olive groves of the area - pretty, quiet tracks & lanes. Abdul gave us plenty of stops where he told us lots about the local life. We stopped at a pottery and had a real laugh making pots on the potters wheel. There was no pressure to buy but we bought some pretty bowls at a good price. At the end we enjoyed some tea with Abdul and Adnan in his peaceful, shady garden. Was a lovely way to spend 1/2 a day and I’d definitely recommend this way to enjoy Skoura.

5.00An experience not to be missed! The visit of the Skoura palm grove by mountain bike with Hassan was an unforgettable moment. Between the beautiful landscapes, the fascinating explanations about the history of the palm grove and Morocco, and the visit to a pottery workshop, everything was perfect. Hassan knows the region like no one else and makes the discovery lively and rewarding. It would be a shame to go through Skoura without doing this activity.

5.00Hassan and Asdan are too friendly, warm, welcoming... we learned a lot during our walk through the palm grove, between olive trees, almond trees, palm trees... it was beautiful!! Super comfortable mountain bikes and tea after ride, delicious... It was a pleasure to meet you again thank you!

5.00We toured the oasis with guide Abdul who grew up here and his English is very good. After adjusting our bike seats and explaining how to work the gears and brakes we were off on a fabulous adventure learning about the irrigation, building techniques, plants, date growing and so much more! He also guided us through the Kasbah tour after we paid the entry fee. I highly recommend this tour and Abdul!

5.00A quiet, very interesting bike ride through the palm gardens with our heartwarming guide Abu. He gave us an impressive amount of historical and current explanations about the palm gardens, the life of the local Berbers. He taught us a little arabic and took us for tea at Berbers' house in the village. Also at the local potter we were allowed to do a small workshop and visit the shop without any obligation. 5.00We can't recommend highly enough, a mountain bike tour with Abdo and Skoura VTT Adventures. From our arrival to our departure, Abdo was humorous, patient, informative, and a great story-teller. The bikes were well maintained and the route offered many opportunities for photos and to understand the local history. The tour culminated with a lovely picnic lunch offered by another of the tour company's team. We were honored to have also met his wife and daughter. A great Moroccan experience.
