The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

I did a safari in Uda walawe with Sujee, it was great, it is very efficient and available. The safari was beautiful, dozens of elephants, buffaloes, swathes, birds... And the breakfast is very good and hearty!! His contact number : +94 77 462 7627

Amazing service from initial booking and efficient communication, fair price and flexibility The safari itself was incredible, I still do not understand how the driver is possible to spot a toucan 300m away tucked on a tree. Binoculars and book of animals and trees where driver pointed what we are looking at was a Nice touch Also this was a nicely paced experience where we were not in a convoy of jeeps

I went to a morning safari and i saw so many elephants as never in my life!! Bathing, swimming, a pregnant animal and several baby elephants. Also a lot of rare birds, mangoo, group of monkeys and several eagles and crocodiles!! The guide was super professional, always moving the car maximal close to see the animal (but also smart, f.e. giving elephants way to water). I saw elephants in 1,5 meter from myself, he was looking into my eyes!! Also the guide (Suji's brother) explained about every species I was asking, I am biologist and he knew every specie!!

Sujee was a very nice guide. As a 15-experienced guide, he knows very well the park and its animals. Very good point for us : he is not following the flow of the jeeps.
We got to see a lot of animals thanks to Sujee. The welcome to his guesthouse was quality.

Sujee is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He arranged a pick up for us from Hiriketiya and a drop off in Ella. The driver was on time and the car super comfy. He even told the driver where to take us for lunch after our safari. The safari was amazing. He took us through less crowded areas which allowed us to see elephants up close without all the crowds. We had a lovely time! Would highly recommend!

Communication at the top, clear information, rates absolutely ok. Several safari proposals -4 or 7 hours- We chose the longest and were not disappointed. He knows the most beautiful places in the park, he quickly turns off the engine so we can see the elephants in silence, really, we recommend!
