  Riding the sleigh surrounded by nature on this private tour was absolutely extraordinary. Grant, with his kindness and passion, makes every moment special; you can clearly feel how much he loves his dogs and his work. If you are looking for an authentic and engaging adventure, I can only recommend it from the heart. Thanks again Grant!

  This was a 10/10 activity from start to finish. There is an easy bus from Tromso that drops you right outside. Grant is friendly and welcoming and the dogs are delightful. We had so much fun both driving and being passengers, and witj all the doggy cuddle. I couldn't stop grinning! Book this trip, you won't regret it.

  We had the most incredible experience with Happy Tails Husky Tours. Grant’s genuine love for the dogs and his relaxed, friendly attitude made us feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived. He’s a natural teacher — clear, encouraging, and always ready with a great sense of humour. Even after the tour ended, he went above and beyond to help us find our way back, which was so kind and appreciated. It was obvious that the dogs are exceptionally well cared for. They were full of energy and excitement, each one eager to be chosen for the sled — you could almost hear them saying, “Pick me, pick me!” The whole experience was pure joy; even when I took a tumble into the soft snow (more like falling into a pillow!), it was the best fun I’ve ever had. The setting felt like something out of a fairy tale — truly magical from start to finish.

  We cannot recommend or speak highly enough of Grant and his love for his dogs and his professionalism. This is not a Disneyland dog sled adventure like the larger operators. You get the real deal. Dogs which are bred from generations of dog sledding champions. A guide who knows his craft and and adventure of a lifetime thru stunning scenery. You would be mad not to book this if you are in Tromso.

  We did an afternoon tour on January 26, Grant is a great guide who travels a great route together with his dogs. The route goes through the wilderness uphill, downhill, not a boring straight. Korton great. You don't get this experience with the major tour providers. Also important to mention that the dogs are all very well cared for, welfare of the animals is high at Grant and it shows! Highly recommended!

  We booked a husky tour months in advance and paid the full amount upfront. The evening before the activity, at 8:45 pm, we received a message saying the tour was cancelled due to rain in the previous days and snow forecast for the next day. Because of the extremely late notice, it was impossible to book any alternative activity. No alternative or solution was offered by the company. Although the amount was refunded, we received €30 less than what we paid, probably due to “fees or currency conversion”. This feels unfair, especially since the cancellation came from their side. For comparison: another excursion we booked with a different company was also cancelled due to weather, but they refunded us almost fully (only €5 difference). Very poor customer service and disappointing handling of the situation. I would not recommend booking with this company.

  If you want an amazing husky sledding experience, away from the big tour operators/large group sizes, quality time 1 on 1 time with the dogs, then Happy Tails is for you. I booked a tour for my engagement proposal and Grant was incredibly accommodating and got the vision right away in terms of what I was hoping we could do. It is evident that he is someone that truly cares for and looks after his dogs (typically only doing one ride a day as opposed to churning out as many as possible). It is also much more reasonably priced than its competitors and you get way more value for money. I could not recommend this tour operator more!

  Wow, what an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into the cozy kennel for some Husky cuddles – and oh, they are absolutely adorable! Each dog had its own personality, and spending time with them before the ride was such a heartwarming start. Then came the sleigh tour… breathtaking! The snow-covered landscape was like a winter wonderland, and the Huskies were so happy and full of energy, pulling us through the pristine trails with pure joy. You could feel their excitement, and it made the whole adventure even more magical. A special shout-out to Grant – he was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was perfect. His love for the dogs and the experience really shines through. If you’re looking for an authentic, thrilling, and heartwarming Arctic adventure, Happy Tails is the way to go. Highly recommended!

  He was a super friendly guide. All the huskies are so sweet (he has nine). I was allowed to go into the kennel with him, and they were all so enthusiastic! We took a husky and went for a walk in the countryside. We stopped at a stream for the husky to drink. Afterward, we hiked to a beautiful waterfall. The guide shared various interesting facts, and you can tell he was passionate about his work. Definitely recommended for nature and dog lovers.
