What an amazing experience! Tobias was an exceptional host, teaching us everything from riding horses to Argentinian culture. Making us an amazing breakfast and Asado experience as well. I wasn't as experienced with horse riding and Tobias was very gentle and informative to help me learn. Feel like I got taught how to be an expert in less than a day. 10/10 highly recommend!

Professional horses, not just school horses, which made the experience particularly great. Super tasty food, especially from Sergio. Best meat I've ever eaten.

A day at the foot of the Andes begins like any other, with a good breakfast, but in a unique setting. In front of us, the Pre-Andes, extended in the background by the snow-capped peaks of the Andes which stand out from a deep blue sky made possible by the altitude and the total absence of pollution. A few meters away, the arroyo del Rosario flows between the reeds. Above us, Andean birds sing in the branches of the large trees planted around the Limena; the atmosphere is so calm that we hardly dare to speak. Behind us, the horses are already ready, chosen by Tobias according to the weight and experience of each rider, including beginners. An additional horse accompanies us, which carries lunch and the necessary equipment. We take a dirt road towards the mountain, which will become a path, following the river. At the start of the morning, the colors of the Andean landscape are contrasting and magnificent, green, yellow, ocher, brown, pink, black, depending on the nature of the soil and exposure to the sun. And, of course, hour after hour they change. We come across a few cows roaming free in the countryside, goats too, sometimes a gaucho on his horse. The ride is quiet, we make one or two stops to drink and re-strap if necessary. And we enjoy the magnificent view of the plateau and the pampas that we left, with its rare houses or puestos marked by a bouquet of trees. Tobias chose the top of a small hill for the lunch break. And there, surprise, he lights a fire with dead wood that we collect, takes out a parilla and prepares a delicious lomo and grilled vegetables, to the degree of cooking desired by everyone! We are almost already in the mountains, surrounded by nature, and we are enjoying a royal meal (there are even enough vegetables and fruits for a vegetarian rider). After a moment of rest, it is time to go back down but no one is in a hurry. The colors have changed and we never tire of looking into the distance, as if the distance prolongs the pleasure. Among the four of us, two are beginner riders and they are surprised to feel no pain; it must be said that the very comfortable saddles, complemented by sheepskin blankets, perfectly protect sensitive areas; There is therefore no need for any special equipment apart from a hat, beret or cap to spend a wonderful day on horseback at the foot of the Andes. Returning towards Limena, those who wish can trot or gallop a little, the horses are always motivated to return home; but everyone goes at their own pace. Upon arrival, another nice surprise: the bath in the arroyo, cool but whose current massages the bodies very effectively. You can also prefer the shower, but in both cases an excellent fruit juice, or tea, or mate is offered to facilitate the return to real life. A day with Tierras Andinas is indeed much more than a beautiful day on horseback; it is a truly unforgettable dive into the atmosphere of this unrivaled cordillera, with its grandiose landscapes, its culture, its calm and skillful horses on all terrains, the friendly, constantly attentive welcome from Tobias and his team. Getting back in the car, heading towards Mendoza, the setting sun lets us discover more mountains as we cross Tierras Blancas, the historic family estancia. Yet these are the same peaks, the same Andean lands, of which we have the feeling of having become a little friends.

Tobi and Kate were so warm and friendly. We had a fabulous time and a wonderful ride across the estancia, with vistas of the Andes and the rest of the ranch. Coffee when we arrived, and the asado was a perfect setting in between the morning and afternoon rides, with Tobi making handmade empanadas. It was such a great day - we would go back again and again. Thanks!
