Folklore, Castles & Our Happy Places
The Highlands and Islands are officially the happiest place to live in Scotland. As a result, Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, has repeatedly been crowned the happiest city in Scotland.
On our private walking tour of „Inversneckie", we will help you transforming into one of these happy locals.
Our tour will take you to the town's famous and lesser-known landmarks and to some of our happy places like „The Salad Bar". You will also hear about the sons and daughters of the town and the life in Inverness then and now.

Inverness Cathedral
We have a look at the magnificient building and the four statues above the entrance. In the 1960s, another „Fab Four” stayed opposite the cathedral and rumour has it that they even wrote a song there.
River Ness
From rumours to legends: As we head along River Ness towards the city centre, we enjoy a great view onto Inverness Castle and you will hear the story of a saint and a water monster and how the legend of their encounter still attracts visitors to the area.

Our family had a wonderful couple of hours walking around Inverness with Dan. Loved the suggestion to browse the old bookstore!

We had a wonderful experience with Elle Tyler of Airts 'N Pairts during our full day tour of the Scottish Highlands in July 2023. We received a beautiful customized prospectus months prior to our tour. On the day of the tour, Elle offered our group a lovely basket of goodies to banish any hunger pangs. Then off we went to Beauly Priory, a visit with some Highland Coos (cows), then on to Wardlaw Mausoleum, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, and Inverness. Elle's knowledge and fashion sense also proved invaluable for those of us seeking the perfect lambs wool sweater. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, learned a great deal, and greatly appreciated Elle's expertise, attentiveness and charm. Highly recommended!

What a pleasure to be introduced to Inverness by Elle. The Tour itself was relatively short, but packed with information. We especially enjoyed the Cemetary. We also tried out her recommendations later and found them right on. I recommend this tour

Dan and Elle tell tremendous stories and have so many historical anecdotes to share. Out time went very quickly and I learned so much about Scottish history. Made me realize how little I know and found myself looking up all kinds of facts on the internet afterwards. So nice that they gave up their day off to take us around. Highly recommend.

We went on a Photo tour with Elle, everything was perfectly organised, great locations picked and she was taking care for every need. Elle is a wonderful storyteller, which makes every tour a big success.

Our group of six enjoyed a wonderful historical and cultural tour of Elgin in August. This was esprcially for one of our members, who was celebrating a big birthday. We all had a great time and, as well as learning lots of new facts and stories about our ancient city, we all had a lot of fun. The ideal combo event. Our birthday girl loved it all, especially the tailored add-ins and, even more especially, that Elvis led the tour! Dan responded magnificently to the information that the birthday girl is an Elvis fan. Dan and Elle's willingness and enthusiasm were second to none. We really appreciated them tailoring the tour around our birthday girl and our requests. We also really enjoyed chatting to them both during the tour.

Elle & Dan are extremely knowledgable about Nairn, it's history and those who shaped it. Above all extremely great hosts and went above and beyond for us by allowing us to change he date we had booked, resulting in an (extended) private tour. I'm from Nairn and learnt a lot about where I was born and brought up and also saw things I've never seen before like the Coat of Arms on the Nairn Court House. And shared a few wee stories too.

Really memorable and enjoyable walking tour around Nairn. Despite having come to Nairn for many summers while I was growing up, there were so many places, people and hidden features that have an important place in Nairn's history that I never knew about. Dan and Elle were very enthusiastic and really know their stuff. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Excellent walking tour of Nairn. Dan and Elle very well informed, engaging and passionate about their vocation. Fascinating to learn some of the history of the town I now call home. Highly recommended!

Did this as a virtual tour today. Really excellent, interesting and informative realise how much I have missed when walking about the town. I will look more carefully next time. It was an excellent mix of live parts and ‘studio’ bits and the two were well integrated.
