The Old Man of Storr
Old Man of Storr – Isle of Skye’s Most Iconic Landmark Discover one of Scotland’s most photographed and instantly recognisable landscapes on this unforgettable visit to the Old Man of Storr. Towering pinnacles of ancient rock rise dramatically from the rugged Trotternish Ridge, creating a scene straight out of a fantasy film. Whether bathed in golden morning light, shrouded in mist, or dusted with snow, the Old Man of Storr offers spectacular photo opportunities at every turn. Standing beneath its towering spire, you’ll understand why it has captivated travellers, artists, and filmmakers for generations. Highlights: Hike to Skye’s most iconic natural landmark Enjoy panoramic views over the Sound of Raasay Perfect for photographers and nature lovers alike
Kilt Rock
Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls Perched high above the Sound of Raasay, Kilt Rock is one of the Isle of Skye’s most striking coastal features. Its towering cliffs are made up of vertical basalt columns and horizontal bands of sandstone, creating a pattern that resembles the pleats of a Scottish kilt — a breathtaking tribute to the island’s heritage carved by nature itself. From the viewing platform, you’ll also witness the spectacular Mealt Falls, a sheer cascade that plunges 60 metres directly into the sea below. Highlights: See the unique basalt cliffs of Kilt Rock, shaped like a tartan kilt Watch Mealt Falls tumble directly into the sea Take in sweeping coastal views and spot seabirds

We had a wonderful time touring Skye, largely attributable to our guide Ben, who accommodated all of our wishes of sights to see and more, by providing his knowledge of the area and the local flora and fauna. It was the best day of our trip to Scotland!

Dave was our guide, such a friendly and knowledgeable guy who knew everything about the island.Very friendly and answered to all our questions. We were taken to places where you would never find without Dave. From gorgeous waterfalls to hidden pools, cliffs you could only dream of. We spent 3 days with him and every day was an adventure, with stories of the island and the most beautiful places, we couldn’t wait the day to begin on each morning. By far the best way to see the island. He has tours planned but he will take you where ever you want. So flexible and listens you what you want to see and he finds the right places. If you come to Skye, he is your man. We even got complimentary local miniature whisky bottles to take home ❤️ Also the recommendations for local lunch and dinner spots were perfect!

I'd highly recommend Explore Skye, after an amazing first visit to the island in May 2026. Dave's a lovely bloke, professional, very knowledgeable about Skye, and able to bring the island to life in a way we couldn't have, if trying to check tourist boxes ourselves. More than a tour guide, nothing was too much trouble, he second-guessed issues and added lots of thoughtful little details. He was great at finding that balance between being friendly and professional, customising a packed tour without it feeling too much, or leaving us without any downtime to relax. If you're looking for a great tour guide in Skye, you can stop looking.

From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. Dave was absolutely fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Skye. He made the whole experience feel personal rather than just a mother tour. His local insight really brought the island to life, and he took me to some incredible spots I would have never found on my own. The pace of the tour was perfect, and nothing felt rushed. Dave went above and beyond to make sure every minute was enjoyable, adapting the day to ensure I was able to see what I wanted to. Highly recommend!

Take in the beauty of the land. Be prepared for steep hikes and pack a picnic lunch or snacks and water. Calum was an outstanding guide!

David was our guide, arranged everything before we arrived. Very knowledgeable about all around Skye. Very friendly, accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Didn’t even get annoyed when we kept asking to stop for photos.

Had an excellent experience with Explore Skye. The tour was very well organised and gave us a great chance to see some of the best scenery on Skye, especially the walk and views at Old Man of Storr. Our guide David was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the island. He shared lots of interesting local history and stories during the trip, while keeping everything relaxed and enjoyable. The pacing of the day was spot on and we never felt rushed. Would definitely recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Skye.

We had such a lovely tour today with Ben, he was absolutely fantastic! He took great care to ensure we hit the tops spots on our list (plus some hidden gems!), listened to what we liked/made great suggestions, and did things in a particular order that helped us avoid getting rained on! It really was the perfect day for us! We also loved the additional knowledge of the plant life and topography he shared along the way; it just added to the whole experience. ;-) Best way to see the Isle of Skye without feeling like a traditional tourist, even if you rented your own car, take this one day tour from Skye because the roads to get around some of these best things are very small/narrow sketchy roads that are challenging for those not used to driving around these parts!

I visited Skye for a week, and had mentioned to David that I wanted to see different sights as well as tourist spots. We visited brothers point, Lealt Falls, and the whole Quairing loop. He also recommended some other places to visit on other days. David was really knowledgeable and friendly and the whole tour was so enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Skye.
