Marche Jean-talon (jean-talon Market)
Jean-Talon Market is an established open-air farmer's market with many vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, fish & baked goods. It is the largest market in Montreal and one of the largest open-air markets in North America.
A historic fire station originally constructed in the early 20th century that served as a key part of Montreal’s fire protection services. The building itself is an architectural gem, with its distinctive red brick façade and classic design reflecting the civic pride of the time.

5.00This was my third food tour with Secret Food tours, the first in Canada (but looking forward to Vancouver already!) And as always, it was excellent! Eric was a great guide - so much personal experience of the area, and able to talk about rhs history from personal experience. The food was excellent and just the right amount to ensure we were all completely full!

5.00My husband and I did the Jean Talon / Little Italy food tour with our guide Eric. He is a local who was able to share his knowledge of Montreal and its changes through his own experience. The food spots were fantastic. Very generous portions and delicious. The food market was a wonder to see and we are so happy we had a guide to show us around and select a great variety of fresh and authentic foods. He was very accommodating to food allergies as well. Would highly recommend!

5.00Very personal and personable tour. Wonderful conversations-- nothing was scripted. Got to try food unique to Little Italy, Montreal, and the Quebec Province and learned the history of the area and the dishes. Loved the Jean-Talon Market and the mici and sorbet. Lots of food so come with an empty stomach!
