Baku Zooloji Park

The tour begins with a 09:30 pickup from the designated meeting point, followed by a short 15-minute drive to Baku Zoological Park. Covering 4.25 hectares, the modernized park is home to 125 animal species, including 22 listed in Azerbaijan’s Red Book, all kept in environments designed to reflect their natural habitats. Visitors observe a wide range of animals such as big cats, deer, bears, alpacas, kangaroos, wolves, primates, reptiles, and diverse bird species along with freshwater and marine life in aquariums. Guests spend around 2 hours exploring the open-air exhibits and aquariums with a private guide, gaining insight into animal behavior, conservation and biodiversity.

A 20-minute drive leads to the Natural History Museum, a comprehensive institution divided into geology and zoology departments. The geology section presents a curated collection of metallic and non-metallic minerals, rock samples and natural resources sourced across Azerbaijan, illustrating both regional geology and scientific research in mineralogy. The zoology department contains more than 1,400 cataloged specimens, including articulated skeletons and preserved fragments of animals studied in field research. Each exhibit is presented with context explaining evolutionary history, ecological significance and conservation insights. The museum visit is scheduled for 30 minutes, during which the private guide offers an in-depth scientific explanation of each major collection. Admission is complimentary.
