Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
You can see Japan's background that is off-limits to ordinary tourists after the tour. This short trip is a fantastic and great value way of experiencing Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine! We are here to help you discover new things, the Fushimi Inari Shrine is so more than its famous tunnels of vermillion-red torii gates. Most people are satisfied by a scenic view of it. But this has a lot of stories to tell that will connect you to the Japan's history and culture and your guide will show you deeper. You will see a fascinating story attached to the origin of the shrine dedicated to the god of grains – that’s what “Inari” means – . This is also why you’ll see statues of the fox around the shrine. “Kitsune” or the fox is a servant to the god Inari. They are cunning tricksters, clever minded animals who make perfect guides for the treacherous business world. You may would want the foxes on your side after this tour.

Wow! What a great experience! Yuka was wonderful. She was patient, knowledgeable, and kind... All the great attributes of a perfect tour guide. She also communicated with me months in advance to plan the perfect itinerary for my family.

We had a 6hr walking tour with Harumi. She was excellent. Very Helpful. She went at our pace and didn't rush along. She talked about herself and life which gave us an insight to Japanese life. She even helped us buy some clothing from a local store. Took us to a Sushi bar for lunch and taught us some origami. Thank you Harumi.

This tour was with Kazz from Japan Guide Agency. The tour was amazing. We highly recommend Kazz. He speaks excellent English. Kazz was able to customize our tour to see the sights we wanted to see while at the same time accommodating my wife’s physical limitations. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Japan.

My family had a private tour in Kyoto in May. We did a 6 hour tour with an English speaking guide and private driver. We went to 4 sites and then had lunch. Our guide was Harumi Sagayama. She was fantastic. She is fluent in English and very enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. I was very satisfied with her recommendations for the tour. Harumi reached out ahead of time to make sure that we were fully satisfied with the itinerary. Both she and our driver were gracious and hospitable. I highly recommend her and beautiful Kyoto!

Our tour guide, Etsuko, was wonderful. The driver was very experienced and competent. The communication pre-tour with Etsuko was excellent and allowed us to custom make our tour to include the sights we were most interested in. Etsuko was very knowledgeable about each site and was very prepared to provide that information. She was kind and cheerful and enthusiastic about sharing her country's history with us. She kept us on track and on time (all six of us) and navigated the crowded venues ensuring that we had quality time at the most important locations. Very professional, but still personal. She even took some great photos of our family! We ended our tour at a great restaurant that she recommended that accommodated our food preferences. Overall, just a great experience and we highly recommend it.

My guide, Takeshi, was very helpful in communicating with me to set up the tour. Although it was raining, we marched on and finished the tour. Take-san was so helpful in explaining everything and going out of their way to show me more. It wasn't cheap, but money well spent!

Absolutely perfect for getting the most out of a single day in Kyoto. Masaki-san is an excellent tour guide. He communicated well by WhatsApp to set up our plans so we could see everything we wanted. He kindly adjusted our start time after our travel plans were delayed. He figured out the best way to adjust our tour when we spent too long admiring a few places! And he took us to the most amazing local type place for lunch. Overall it was beyond our expectations and we truly are grateful and thankful to Masaki-San for our truly perfect day!

We were met at our hotel by our guide Harumi and had a wonderful day learning about the sites and culture of Kyoto. Harumi's enthusiasm was contagious and made the tour extra fun. Our driver Sachiko was also a pleasure to share time with during our Kyoto tour. I highly recommend this tour.

Our experience with our tour guide, Harumi-san, and our driver, Yo-san, was amazing! We had booked a 6 hour tour of Kyoto, where we were able to visit four locations in the city, starting at Nijo Castle, then Kinkaku-ji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and finally ending at Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. We also had lunch at a traditional style ramen restaurant (per a recommendation from our driver) that had an atmosphere that felt like stepping through time, and into the Sengoku Period. Though we had to pay entry fees at three of our locations, it was not expensive, and the experience was not diminished by the crowd size at each spot. Now, to jump into the most memorable part of the experience, which was the fact that Harumi-san helped me plan and coordinate my proposal to my new fiancée at our final destination, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. Harumi-san was honest in the fact that she had never helped with something like this before, but despite that, she was able to give me excellent advice, and was able to lead us to a section of the shrine that was not crowded, one of her "secret spots of Fushimi Inari." At the location, the Neagari no Matsu, or Root-rising Pine, I was able to propose to my fiancée in relative privacy, which was the perfect cap to an unforgettable day. I would highly recommend Harumi-san to anyone that wants to experience Kyoto at its best. She was able to effectively guide us through four of the most popular destinations in the city, and had a wealth of knowledge to share with us at each location. She was attentive to all of our wants and needs, took photos and videos for us, and even introduced us to the game, Amidakuji, or Ladder Lottery. Finally, Harumi-san went out of her comfort zone, and went above and beyond to help me plan an event that my fiancée and I will remember for the rest of our lives. I could not recommend her more to anyone. Thank you Harumi-san for everything that you did on our tour.
