Kyoto keeps traditional arts and beauty alive, but the busses and subways can be confusing and provide challenges for those with walking limitations. At Japan Guide Agency, we want everyone to experience Kyoto so we are happy to provide this customizable, private guided tour with a vehicle!

Join us on a tour of Kyoto to see Kiyomizu Temple as it towers over the historical Gion district, famous for its rich history of geisha. The bamboo forest of Sagano and the gardens, shrines and temples in Kyoto will provide you with a window into old Japan.

Once your reservation is made, a guide will contact you to plan your personalized tour. Choose 4 to 5 spots from ‘Tour Details’ to visit. Whether you are a history buff, love Japanese architecture, or just want to enjoy a green tea parfait, Kyoto has something for you!

Kazuko was a great guide, very knowledgeable and able to structure a full day with a variety of experiences without making us feel like we were running to do too much We consulted ahead of time on which sights were favored, particularly given that it is cold in February. It was lovely having a driver too so we didn’t have to deal with public transportation and crowds. I highly recommend this tour!!

Slow paced and you don’t feel rushed . You are able to ask questions compared when you are in a group. Hiro our tour guide is very friendly and accommodating . We were done early and he took us on another site, a temple and turns out the best temple for me .

Guide was incredible and gave outstanding insight into the Shinto and Buddhist religions which really added to the experience of what we're seeing. Having the private driver also allowed us to cover a lot more ground than we would have been able to using public transport.

We had a private tour in Kyoto for 7 of us. Kazuko was our tour guide and was extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. She reached out to us in advance so that we could customize the agenda to our preferences. She spoke English well and was easy to understand. Our driver was also kind and efficiently drove us to each location. The car was clean and comfortable which was very helpful during the cold December day. Thank you to Kazuko and our driver!
