Enjoy this very private 6-hour city tour to the beautiful and medieval city of Lübeck in a luxury vehicle with no other strangers.
To receive a personalized service, the tour is only for your private group of up to six people and includes refreshments on board.
Your professional driver will pick you up at the cruise terminal or hotel in Hamburg and bring you back to your starting point on time after the tour through Lübeck.

What To Expect
Holstentor
The Holsten Gate is Lübeck's landmark and one of the most popular sights. In the 15th century, the city gate was part of the city fortifications that defended Lübeck from attacks. With its imposing towers and brick construction, it is a symbol of the history and wealth of the Hanseatic city.
Salzspeicher
Next to the Holsten Gate we find the Lübeck salt warehouses, all of which were built between 1579 and 1745. The salt that was stored here at that time made Lübeck rich. The walk along the salt warehouses on the Trave River is a journey into the past.

5.00Heiko was fabulous and was a great tour guide. He showed us all the sights of Hamburg city plus many things that are not included on the regular city tours. He was very pleasant and friendly and went out of his way to see that we saw the city of Hamburg and enjoyed our visit in Hamburg. He was so good that we made arrangement with him for the next day to be driven to York and Steinkirchen and see the sights of those towns.. Again, he was an excellent tour guide. I recommend him for anyone requesting a private tour of Hamburg.

5.00Our tour guide was Heiko. He's a local and a tour guide for Big Black Car Tours Our tour was of all the nooks in Hamburg and the small town of Luneburg which is 45 minutes outside of Hamburg. Heiko met us at the cruise terminal in a black Lincoln Navigator, the only one in Hamburg. He took us past the Red light district, the St. Pauli district, the original town center, St. Michael's and a few other churches. One church that was bombed in WWII has been left as a tribute to those lost in war. We also stopped at a city park where Heiko treated us to sparkling wine and cheese. Next he took us to a little hole in the wall for an authentic German lunch (Imbiss) It was a spicy sausage in a homemade tomato sauce and potato salad. My first time eating this and it was very good. After lunch we went to the small village of Luneburg via the autobahn. We walked around the village and saw a very picturesque village. There is a small stream running through town, a foot bridge with 'love locks'. It was well worth the time it took to get there. We did not go to Lubeck so we could spend more time in Hamburg and Luneburg. At our request we were dropped off at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. This is a whole warehouse full of miniature railroads, scenes, and so much more. Worth every penny for the tour. It took us about an hour to walk back to the ship along the waterfront.
