*We offer private luxury tours that are customized to meet your specific needs and interests. Travel at your own pace; see and do only what is important to you.
*All our drivers/guides speak English and are fully licensed with many years of experience. They will be happy to share with you their vast knowledge of history, culture, folklore and traditions. Note: Only private licensed guides are permitted to accompany you in archaeological/historical sites. We can arrange for private licensed guide for an additional fee, but our clients do no feel it is necessary for this tour.
*We will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, rental property, port or other agreed upon location. We use only luxury Mercedes vehicles.

What To Expect
Amalfi Coast
Ride in the comfort of a luxury Mercedes vehicle on a scenic drive along part of the Amalfi Coast with many stops along the road for picture taking, to admire the spectacular coast and to explore the quaint villages.*****UPON REQUEST/OPTIONAL STOPS may include (based on availability): *Visit a local artisan's ceramic shop *See a wood inlay demonstration *Visit a lemon grove with limoncello tasting *Visit a winery with wine tasting *Visit a family-owned olive grove and olive oil factory***************** NOTE: Costs (if any) of food/beverage tastings and demos are not included in rate. Positano
You’ll visit the famous town of Positano where you have time to explore the town and the old city center on your own. Shop the trendy boutiques, sip on a glass of wine under a beach umbrella or treat your palette to a tasting of some local delicacies while gazing out to the cerulean sea.

5.00My experience with Breanna and Carmine was top notch. There was so much planning that went into this trip and they made it seamless and made amazing recommendations. I can not thank them enough. The drivers were easy to find, on time and very professional. They were great handling our bags and getting all of our luggage into the vehicles. The vans were clean and had water and I felt safe. Thank you again for such a great trip!

5.00Private Tours was recommended to us by a friend who had used them a couple of years ago and ho was very satisfied with their service. The first thing I noticed was their prompt and detailed response to my many, many emails asking for information and my many questions. My phone calls were always met with a professional and timely response. Whether it was their drivers who picked us up and took us to the airport, or their driver (Gigi) who served as pour driver and guide, we couldn't have had a better experience. What we were concerned about going over was the ability to communicate with our drivers. Never a problem. The drivers could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I would not only recommend them to a someone else, but I would use them again without giving it a second thought. What was equally impressive, was getting a text every night telling me who my driver would be and providing me with the driver's phone number. Lastly, we had questions during our visit, and an email or text to their U.S. contact (Breanna) resulted in a phone call or a text or email response in a very timely manner.

5.00We used Private Tours of Southern Italy for our entire ten day tour of Sorrento and Tuscany. They set up drivers, tours and offered wonderful and helpful advice throughout the planning process. I highly recommend this group and I worked personally with Breanna and Daniela who promptly answered all our questions no matter how small. We absolutely LOVED our time in Italy and appreciated their guidance and expertise throughout our journey with text messages and check ins to be sure all was going well. Can’t recommend them enough!!

5.00My husband and I could not be happier with our trip to Italy! We would highly recommend having Private Tours of Southern Italy help you plan your itinerary. We told them where in Italy we wanted to tour and what we were interested in doing while there. We spent 13 nights in Sorrento, 1 night in Capri, and 2 nights in Rome. While in Sorrento, we toured, along with our private tour guides, Pompeii, Paestum, and beautiful Ravello. Our drivers, in addition to driving us everywhere we went, took us to Amalfi and Positano where we spent several hours in each place shopping, and enjoying the beauty of each area. We also had a private boat tour around the island of Capri, took several cooking classes, toured olive groves, had an olive oil tasting, visited lemon gardens, wine vineyards, and a wine tasting paired with a delicious lunch. While in Rome, we had a walking tour that began right from our hotel near the Spanish Steps. The next day our driver drove us and our private tour guide to Palantine Hill, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. After lunch we spent the afternoon touring Vatican City. All were arranged ahead of time by Private Tours of Southern Italy. NO LINES!!! Our drivers and tour guides always arrived a bit early, were so friendly, were always willing to take our photo, and had great restaurant recommendations. Our accommodations were all booked through the tour company. They offered several choices of places to stay that we were able to choose from. We would do it all over again! If you want the best possible experience in Italy, choose Private Tours of Southern Italy!

5.00This company was the BEST! We LOVED our drivers Tony and Pigi. They were so nice, happy, friendly and very good drivers. They have been doing it for years, local to the area, gave great recommendations of where to go and what to do. Having a car service is a must on the amalfi coast. The bus gets crowded, runs late and can make you get motion sickness. After two attempts with the bus we called Carmine to book their car service again. Highly recommend! We had such great calm enjoyable days because of them.
Great service. Felt like I was with family. The only way to see Rome.

5.00Just completed trip of a lifetime. Had a couple of great days in Rome - made all the better by our driver, Carlo and fantastic tour guides (Allesandro - Vatican and Luigi - Colosseum and old Rome) truly made this a memorable trip. We learned so much and felt like we were in very good hands. Carlo even made lunch reservations for us at a great Cafe. We would never have enjoyed the experience or enjoyed ourselves so much without their care and expertise. Carlo was the absolute best!!!

5.00We booked through Carmine Ussano. Best decision we could have made. Booked private drivers from Napoli Centrale to Sorrento with a private tour of Herculaneum and winery tour and lunch at foot of Mt. Vesuvius enroute. Private boat trip to Capri from Sorrento, private driver along length of Amalfi coast and private driver back to Napoli Centrale from Sorrento. Guides and drivers were professional yet friendly and engaging, knowledgeable, prompt and extremely helpful. Don't hesitate to book through Carmine! Our visit to southern Italy would not have been the same had we not.Pricing was fair. Stress was low. Recommendations by locals were spot on. Thank you Carmine!!
