The Hill of Tara is famous for being where the High Kings of Ireland used to rule long ago. It was an important place for politics and religion around the time of Jesus. People thought the gods lived there and that it was a way to reach eternal happiness. People say that Saint Patrick, a famous figure, went there when he came to Ireland. While you're there, your guide will share stories about ancient Celtic Kings.

5.00Though the primary goal of our trip was visiting the site of Newgrange, my family and I spent a delightful day in and around the Boyne River Valley. Because we booked last minute, the organizers had to go above and beyond to ensure (with a little bit of the luck of the Irish) that we visited not only Newgrange but Knowth as well. They were flexible with scgedule and itinerary snd I was incredibly grateful for their efforts. Miriam was a delightful companion and knowledgeable guide for our visits to Mhainister and Slane Abbey and found us the perfect spot for lunch. We could not have had a better experience.

5.00Incredible experience. Seeing Newgrange and the surrounding valley with a private guide was amazing. Noel was so knowledgeable of the history and the area, and he was a lot of fun. We moved at our own pace and he kept us on time everywhere without a rush. A great day. Highlight of the trip! Highly recommend.

5.00My guide Miriam was class the entire day, and it was a long one. She was incredibly kind, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely warm and friendly. I had the finest experience on tour with her today and I can not think of one thing she could've been better at. I was as comfortable as I've ever been on a tour and the places she took me to and information she provided at each site was spectacular. I will always remember her wonderful tour today and can honestly say that she made my trip to Ireland worth it. A more knowledgeable or kindhearted guide you could not hope for. I'd give her more than 5 stars if Trip Advisor allowed for it.

5.00Noel was our guide and what a find he was, lifelong Dubliner he knew more that we needed to know about everything we were interested in. Patient, informative and engaging, he took us through the Hill of Tara that perfectly dove tailed into new grange which was awesome. Highly recommend him but the company is also awesome, their guides are great!

5.00We had a wonderful day in spite of the weather. Newgrange was amazing. We didn’t walk up the Hill of Tara because of the rain but we saw Slane hill which was fun. Noel , our tor guide was great. So friendly.
