Built in 1886, Neuschwanstein Castle was Ludwig’s ultimate fantasy—a tribute to medieval romance and Wagnerian opera. Its soaring towers, perched high in the Bavarian Alps, seem straight out of a fairy tale. We’ll capture breathtaking views from Marienbrücke, the best vantage point to admire the castle and the dramatic Pöllat Gorge below.
With your included ticket, step inside the castle for a 45-minute guided tour through its opulent halls, secret passageways, and Ludwig’s private chambers. Afterward, enjoy exploring the castle’s surroundings, hidden trails, and scenic spots.
Optional: After immersing yourself in Ludwig’s dream world, feel the rush of Bavaria’s top summer toboggan run—an exhilarating ride with stunning alpine views!

What To Expect
Munich
Your adventure begins in the morning with a pick-up from your Munich accommodation. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle, stocked with cool drinks and light snacks, and get ready for a scenic journey through the heart of Bavaria. As we leave Munich behind, the rolling hills, charming villages, and lush countryside of Bavaria unfold before you. Along the way, we’ll pass picturesque landscapes and enjoy breathtaking viewpoints that showcase the region’s natural beauty. Soon, we arrive at the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, perched like a fairytale palace among the Bavarian Alps. Surrounded by towering peaks, forests, and sparkling lakes, this legendary castle offers a truly magical experience. Explore its stunning architecture, take in the panoramic views, and immerse yourself in the storybook charm that inspired kings, artists, and dreamers for generations.
We’ll kick off our adventure with a shuttle ride up to Mary’s Bridge (weather and operations permitting) — the perfect spot to snap some stunning photos of Neuschwanstein Castle from above. From there, we’ll stroll over to the iconic fairytale castle itself. As we explore the area together, I’ll guide you to the most scenic and photogenic spots around Neuschwanstein, so you can capture some truly magical memories. If you opt for the version with castle entry, we’ll spend around 3 hours at Neuschwanstein — giving you plenty of time to take in the views, explore the grounds, and enjoy the fairytale atmosphere.

5.00We cannot speak highly enough of our adventure with Sepp! He arranged everything, communicated well multiple times up to and the day of trip and personalized everything for our adventure! Our adventure started early, so he had packed both breakfast and lunch for my family of 4 and had more than enough to keep two teenage boys from going hungry, including snacks and treats, as well as drinks for kids and grownups alike 😉. He was the most informative and friendly guide we had on our European adventure, and he thought of everything. He even let my teenagers practice their German, who such patience! When I tell you we didn’t have to think of a thing, I truly mean it …he was prepared with all, even including euros for the bathroom. His expertise in where to lead us, what times to be where, where to stop and where to take pics, was worth every bit of the costs. His calmness and patience, even when we had to turn back to retrieve a lost phone 😬, made him even more of a gracious host. And if you’ve got kids with you, don’t skip the alpine coaster! I cannot say enough good things about this private tour…it was a highlight of our trip ! By the end of the day, we felt like Sepp was a new friend. we hope to return to Germany one day and when we do, we’ll be booking with Sepp! 💙🇩🇪

5.00My husband and I booked the private Neuschwanstein and alpine coaster tour experience with Sepp - it was the highlight of our entire trip! Sepp went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction the entire day, not to mentioned he's awesome! It was like hanging out with a friend all day. From the moment he picked us up, he took care of everything from arranging tickets to meals while keeping the whole day relaxed. We highly recommend booking an experience with Sepp, and we will definitely be booking with him again in the future!

5.00Sepp is amazing - that is where this review can begin and end, but in case you need more of a reason to book him I will provide some details. Sepp was in contact with us well before our trip to ensure we have food and drinks ready for us during our adventure. He picked us up at the front of our hotel and drove us to the castle while engaging us in conversation and fun discussions. He was funny and informative and extremely knowledgeable. The castle was great, and Sepp led us to the bridge and took great pictures and provided the history of the castle and bridge. We finished the tour and then headed to the Alpine coaster. The coaster was great and Sepp even joined us. The entire experience was awesome because Sepp guided us. He was an amazing guide and I would most definitely recommend his services.

5.00Our family of four booked two day trips with Sepp last week, one to the castles in the Bavarian Alps and one to Austria. Both trips exceeded expectations! Sepp was personable and gets along with everyone, our family and others we encountered along the way. I personally think that says a lot about someone’s character and Sepp clearly is a good hearted gentleman. He is also highly professional. He made certain we had everything we needed through out the day including delicious snacks, a Starbucks latte for me each morning, euros for the bathroom, parking fees, admission fees, lunch, etc. It was so nice to not have to worry about anything while visiting Germany and Austria. We could just enjoy our time! Sepp knew exactly when to leave/arrive so we missed the long lines and could see more. (It was crazy seeing the line queues behind us!) That alone makes it so worth paying a bit more for a private tour! In addition, Sepp was very flexible and allowed us to adjust the tour a bit as we went along. We got to see and experience everything we wanted and had a fun person to hang out with while we did! I highly recommend Sepp. He will make the difference on your vacation. (We definitely were missing his guidance afterwards as navigated the rest of our trip on our own!)

5.00Sepp was incredible! I cannot recommend him enough. Our family went on several tours during our trip to Munich and then Rome, and after every one we said to each other - We miss Sepp!! He took some really great pictures of our family, and took us to great spots for the best photos. He brought food/snacks, beer, drinks, and champagne for the drive and was just the best guide you could ask for!

5.00Sepp was very kind, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Everything was done so well. We were even able to make some adjustments in our tour itinerary. Since we have already been to Neuschwanstein castle, I ask if we could focus more on Linderhof palace. So we did! Sepp even arranged a small picnic with snacks, fruits and champagne on a bench inside the royal garden of Linderhof palace. We had a great time and will definitely book him again on one of our next trips. Btw. book him directly if you want to make a better deal!
