What makes this tour unique is that your guide will customize your experience based on your interests. All guests will experience the same 2.5km trail into the Singhampton Caves and the incredible walk through the caves. However, your guide will work with you to customize your return route, giving you the ability to “choose your own adventure” on your way back. There are four different trail options, varying in length from 2.0km to 3.5km. Some offering more beautiful lookouts, others more cave and crevice exploration opportunities.
After working up an appetite on your hike we encourage you to try one of our local establishments such Giffen's Country Market in Glen Huron or one of the numerous cafes for a warm beverage in Creemore.

What To Expect
Visit us at: stepitupadventures.ca Our hikes are private, you will NOT be paired up with other hikers. Hike Description: Enjoy a guided 5.5km(2.5-3.0hr) hike a top the Niagara Escarpment starting with an apple tree lined trail before entering into a denser moss/fern covered forest on route to the keyhole (1m high arch) entrance into the spectacular Nottawasaga Bluffs caves. After exploring the main caves you will be treated to an epic lookout, a great spot to take a break. Then we will explore the Best caves (long narrow crevices) and for those comfortable with a steep descend and an enclosed cave we will explore Freedom Rock (an outcropping that broke off from the Escarpment) and the Tomb (small adjacent cave), both have a series of aphorisms carved into the rock by an unknown 19th century liberal. What to bring: Water, snacks, appropriate clothing, and closed toe shoes are required. Nottawasaga Bluffs Caves tour vs. the Singhampton Caves tour: The Singhampton caves are all open, have taller walls making them more grandeur. The Nottawasaga Bluffs main caves are less numerous, but side caves offer more closed/underground discovery options and a larger lookout point.

5.00If I could put 10 stars I would!! We did a 2 weeks trip around Ontario and this was my husband and I favorite activity! The guide, Sue, was a gem!!!! Extremely nice and gave us a lot of information about the caves and the surrondings wich was really interesting. The hike was beautiful, personally i'm not the greatest hiker but I did not have any problems following my husband and the guide. The caves are awesome, it was really exciting to be able to go inside! Make sure to wear good shoes! 100% would recommend, kids would absolutely adore this!

5.00We had a fantastic time. Originally we were going to explore on our own, but decided to hire Step It Up. I'm so glad we did. Even if you are familiar with the trails, the guides at Step It Adventures are so knowledgeable, they will show you areas that you would never have discovered on your own. Our guide Sue, went above and beyond. She spent extra time with us, she was attentive and gave us facts on the caves and paths we were exploring. As soon as we booked the tour, she contacted us and was very flexible based on our time constraints and level of experience. Thanks Sue and Step It Up.

The caves are really impressive and especially in autumn the climate is ideal for hiking and climbing. Our guide Sue was super sweet and always had a good feeling for our climbing skills. For us an unforgettable experience that we recommend to everyone! 💚

5.00My wife and I booked this hike on a weekend away. While we walk a lot around a forest near our home, this was next level. The hike was fantastic and the scenery was simply gorgeous. From the crevices, the caves and the lookout, our hike checked all boxes for adventure, nature and serenity. Sue, our guide was amazing. She provided a history of the area while we hiked, explained the geography and foliage. Although the parts of the hike were beyond my comfort zone, with Sue, I was never uncomfortable. I would highly recommend.

In some of the narrow caves we went into, we wouldn't have gone alone for sure. She is really passionate with her work and gave us some insight into other good hiking places as well. Thank you Sue 😊

Voluntarily offered to take pictures and videos that shared with us after the experience. Besides she took the time to share with us several places that we could visit for kayaking, eating and entertainment.

5.00Sue was an amazing guide through Nottawasaga caves. She is extremely knowledgeable and knows all sorts of out-of-the way spots. She has been a local in this area for many years and knows the trails/caves inside and out. She is also very knowledgeable on the ins, outs, do's, and don'ts of hiking/camping for those just starting out. I would suggest booking a trip with Sue if you're looking for someone cool who can show you the ropes, and a few spots you wouldn't usually see without an expert on hand!
