Join us on a private tour through Edinburgh's historic Old Town.
We will explore where J. K. Rowling gained her inspiration for her global phenomenon of Harry Potter. We will begin on the famous Royal Mile and in the shadows of Edinburgh Castle. Next we will wander down Edinburgh's "Diagon Alley" and then head into a real graveyard to see the grave "he who must not be named". We will also learn about the cafe's where she sat and wrote the beginning of the book and where she finished in the realms of luxury.
Having gained a degree in Tourism Management in Edinburgh and having extensively worked in the Scottish tourism industry I feel I have the passion to show you around. I specialised my final year Thesis paper on the phenomenon that is Harry Potter and how it relates to Scottish tourism.
All tours are small group sizes. No more than 10 people per group.

What To Expect
Greyfriars
We'll pass through Greyfriars Kirkyard, finding gravestones of characters within the Harry Potter series. (Who must not be named..) We'll also spot "Hogwarts School" of wizardry from inside the graveyard.
Grassmarket
Famous street in Old Town Edinburgh with lots of rich history, stories and 1 Potter connection.

The tour was full of fascinating stories, fun facts, and hidden gems related to the Harry Potter universe and J.K. Rowling’s inspirations. Our guide was truly exceptional – knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very engaging. She made the experience fun for everyone, whether you’re a Potterhead or just curious. Her passion for both Harry Potter and Edinburgh’s history was obvious, and she brought the magic to life with humor and energy. We visited places like the graveyard with names that inspired characters, the café where Rowling used to write, and many other magical spots around the city. It felt like walking through pages of the books! Highly recommended for any Harry Potter fan visiting Edinburgh , and a big thank you to our wonderful guide , Kat ,for making it so special!! The tour also addresses to people who love history.

5.00Kat is a wonderful guide, she is very knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh and about how Harry Potter relates. We enjoyed our time with her so much and my kids were absolutely mesmerized by everything of she showed us. We would highly recommend this tour and Kat. 5 plus stars!

5.00Kat was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. She always ensured we were okay; she knew a lot about the folklore of Edinburgh, and she even had wands in her bag so we could take pictures with different characters' wands if we wanted. I'm super happy of my experience with her.
