Pamplona
We will pick you up very early in the morning and begin a 1-hour drive to Pamplona. During the journey your guide will give you an introduction of the history of the region, local traditions and what to expect throughout the day. In no time you will have arrived in Pamplona, the capital of Navarre. The remains of the turbulent history of the city can be found almost around every corner. Pamplona was founded on a large plateau by Romans in 1st century B.C, from 4th until 9th century it was under control of Visigoths and Muslims and in the Middle Ages it became the capital of the Kingdom of Navarre. Nowadays Pamplona is a University city famed for the colorful celebrations of San Fermin.
From the parking we will go directly to the located in the Historic Part street where the bull run takes place. The residents whose houses happen to stand along the route hire their private balconies for visitors during the festivity. In this way we are able to enjoy the best views of the run! The owners not only will let us into their apartment but also prepare us a breakfast! The bull run called ‘encierro’ is a spectacular event that involves hundreds of people running in front of a herd of bulls down the narrow streets of the Historic Part of Pamplona. The run ends in the bullring where the bulls would be held until the afternoon's bullfight. During this time the guide will explain the history of the bull runs and all the celebrations that are going on during the festival.

Amazing experience. Our guide Telmo was fantastic. His knowledge of the area, and communication skills were beyond our expectations. The balcony host family was fantastic and in a perfect location to view the run without worry of injury.
