Our first destination of the day is a mysterious Tarakaniv Fort located 160 km from Lviv. It is an abounded fortification construction of the 19th century, which was half-destroyed during the World War II. Dubno Castle

Not far from Tarakaniv Fort, there is another must-visit place – a cozy town of Dubno. The most significant sight of this city is a splendid Dubno Castle. Constructed in 1492, it is a splendid example of Renaissance architecture. On its territory, you will find numerous expositions of pictures, old coins and weapons and even installations for tortures.

This is a good opportunity to tour the Ukrainian countryside and experience some of the history and culture in this area. Hotel pickup is a plus. This is really a full day tour so you will cover a lot of area. The guide was very knowledgeable and plenty of time was provided to see Dubno, Kremenec, and Tarakaniv. The driver was careful and excellent at navigating the occasional rough road. I had the opportunity to learn many new things regarding the ethnography, economy, and religious inclinations of people in Haychyna and Volyn. Wish we had more time to spend at Pochayiv and enough time to see the inside of Oleksiv castle.

Our guide, Ihor, was very knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the places and the regions we visited, and the history and culture of the country. Merka, the driver, was patient with us and practised safe driving. We had a great time. Thank you!
