We start our activity with a convenient pick up at your accommodation. During all the tour you will be accompanied by a local guide keen to give all the hints and tips about Porto and Portugal! We head on to a very small local brewery where we will talk to the owner and producer to understand a little more about the production process of the craft beer. He will share his secrets regarding the raw material and fermentation procedures! (tasting included!) Get the chance to know a bit more about our city as we head to the next brewery. At our second stop, we will enter a larger, better equipped and more organized company where the brewmaster will guide us through the process. At this point, we will be able to try the craft beer directly from the fermenter while getting all the knowledge about it. The brewmaster will do his best to try to make you appreciate all flavors. The final part of the activity will lead us to the best craft beer pub in Porto, where our journey ends with a tasting of 3 different kinds of Portuguese craft beers! Time to relax and enjoy our cities vibe!

I highly recommend this 4 hour guided tour. Our group of 6 had a super fun tour of the Savina brewery in Porto where the brew master walked us through their process for creating their craft beers. The tastings were great. We were then taken on a walking tour to two craft beer bars and again tasted fabulous craft beers. Our guide Diogo was fantastic! Since we live near Porto we will definitely repeat this experience with our friends and family when they visit.

I loved this tour. I came to Porto for my birthday in December and signed up for this tour. Diogo picked me up at the hotel and gave a great tour. We went to the Sovina brewery and got a professional intro to all the ins and outs of beer making as well as a historic and current perspective on the craft beer movement in Porto. Sampling delicious craft brews, Sovina has a great store and sells everything you need to make and curate your own beer at home. Later we did a walking tour of Porto and hit some craft beer pubs. He was great to talk to and had loads of recommendations of where to go. At the end he dropped me off at the hotel. I would do this again and recommend to anyone who loves craft beer. Cheers! 😎

We had a fantastic time with Diogo on our craft beer tour. My partner and I were the only ones booked on for our day and Diogo made it such a memorable experience. We visited Sovina brewery for an insight into Portugal's first craft brewery before trying some truly unique and delicious beers at two bars back in Porto. Diogo was excellent company, and felt like a friend by the end of the trip. He was incredibly accommodating and a very fun host. Porto might be the home of Port, but they have some bloody good beers too!

In my holy country, beautiful brands of craft beer are emerging, but I personally prefer Belgian beers. It is worth the € invested.

I decided to give my boyfriend this tour as a birthday gift, even though he didn’t like beer at all, and I was already waiting for a boring afternoon just seeing him drinking. To my surprise, I ended up having an extremely fun afternoon, full of historical discoveries, visited amazing places and still had the shock of enjoying some craft beer. Not only my boyfriend loved the gift but also I had a lot of fun in fantastic places and with excellent service. Olga, our guide, was a fantastic Cover in every possible way and definitely made the tour even better! I highly recommend to any Cover this tour!

A fun and interesting tour of the growing craft beer culture in Porto and Portugal. Tiago was a great guide with a good knowledge of craft beer in Portugal and and the county and Porto in general.

Not to be mistaken, I love Porto wine but if you want to discover more of what this city has to offer, Porto Craft Beer Experience is what you should go for. Lovely, friendly tour guide who took us to several pubs and breweries in his jeep. We were the only two participants in the tour - he explained that the tour has not gained much popularity yet - which made everything very personal. The tour itself was interesting, informative and, of course, tasty. Staff in all the pubs, where they brew the craft beers themselves, was really friendly. Porto is well known for its wine but it’s definitely worth checking out their unique selection of craft beers, especially during the summer. I highly recommend this tour.

Although Porto is known mostly for its wines, it was really fun to explore the growing craft beer scene as well. Diogo and Alfonso were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly guys who were very enthusiastic about the craft beer scene. We started with a small walking tour from our hotel and then moved onto the tiny Colossus Brewing where we got to meet the owner/brewer Joao who was passionate about growing the craft beer scene. From there we went to Sovina, which was the original craft brewery in Portugal and which still serves as the hub for many brewers looking to break into the industry. The head brewer, Armenio, was very entertaining and we got to try several beers straight from the tank, including one which had yet to be released to the public. We ended up at Catraio beer bar where we shared some Portuguese and Americans beers. It was truly a great day and I highly recommend Diogo's tour to anyone with any interest in beer or anyone looking for an alternative to normal wine tasting in Porto.
