What To Expect

Shanghai Qibao Town

Your friendly guide will meet you at your downtown Shanghai hotel, for a group from one to four person, you will travel in the local uber, a group of five or more than five people will enjoy a private transfer during the tour. Upon arrival, start to experience ancient alley streets full of local flavors, see the ancient architecture along the riverside while learning the interesting local culture, history and custom. If you are a foodie or an adventurous eater, you may sample some of the local authentic street snacks as well as other delicacies.

Next head to the local tea house and enjoys a relaxing tea tasting along with some delightful snacks and then get ready for the calligraphy experience, appreciate the one of the finest arts in Chinese history and calm yourself down while experiencing this special art and culture. After the fun outing, your will be dropped off back to downtown Shanghai area.

It was a great, fun day out exploring a part of Shanghai that wouldn't have been on our list. The tea tasting was great, had a good time chatting with our guide Jun. The caligraphy part was awesome, fun and a little hard for us. I didn't even know Jun took us pictures, so grateful for that. Also grateful for the details she gave us on the temples.

What a great experience and how much learning within a short time. After a stroll through the water city, we stopped at the teahouse next to the temple. There the tea tasting and calligraphy course where happening. Sunny is caring, warm-hearted and a perfect connector between the cultures and languages. We shared many laughs and enjoyed our day off (business trip) in great company and tranquility. The perfect morning! We would book again.

We learned a lot about China’s history and culture. Our tour guide Annie taught us a lot about Qibao, while tea experts gave us a comprehensive deep dive on tea and calligraphy. We explored an old water village and temple too. The calligrapher beautifully wrote our baby’s name in Chinese for us - we were touched!
