The Romanian Vintage Car Driving Tour of Bucharest is a unique local experience: a 16 km panoramic trip through Bucharest while driving or riding ( you choose ) a Romanian Vintage car from the 80s
The drive starts in the center of Bucharest - from the Revolution Square- and offers a panoramic ride of the city with 3 stops at spectacular landmarks which define two different Eras – The House of the Parliament, the second biggest office building in the world built by Nicolae Ceaușescu in the 80s and the Arch of Triumph, the Romanian version of the French one built in the 20s by our King , Ferdinand and at the Revolution Square. We stop to take photos of you, your team and the cars, in the most instagrammable places of Bucharest .
While driving the Romanian Classic car - Dacia - you will catch the eyes of everybody walking on the streets, Bucharest locals will wave at you and this will make you feel like a rock star!

Dacia 1300/1310 is a 70- 80’s classics car that do not include AC, ABS, GPS navigation servo-direction or automatic gear drive.
All the cars provided by The Red Patrol are fully restored classics that meet fully the safety traffic regulations.
The Red Patrol provides quality and safe conditions tours with fully restored vehicles and we do not allow the participation with pets or children under 10 years old

5.00We did this tour with Serban, a very professional tour guide with extremely high level of knowledge. Although we did a private city sightseeing tour in Bukarest three days before, this was perfect addition. Because city tours are historical aspects, and the oldtimer tour with Serban was tour with social aspects. My husband enjoyed the car very much, too. Especially the old cars from communist period help to bring across this period of history perfectly. We enjoyed that day very much! Thank you Serban for that perfect day!

5.00We had lovely experience. We were group of 18 people from all around the EUROPE. Great way to experience Bucharest and learn about the history, meanwhile visiting "Best Spots" in the city. Drivers were very professional with good English, trying to accommodate individual & groups wishes. Unique group experience, easy logistic & right timing :)

5.00We had an amazing time exploring Bucharest with The Red Patrol! Driving through the city in the iconic Dacia cars was such a fun and original experience. The vintage Dacias were absolutely stunning — perfectly preserved and in amazing condition. It was a real thrill to try them out and drive them ourselves! Serban was a fantastic guide — passionate, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that brought the city to life in an unexpected way. It felt like a journey through time, but with a playful twist. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something different and memorable!

5.00A friend who lives in Bucharest recommended this tour to us. Bucharest is an interesting city, and it really helps to have someone explain it. The tour was fantastic! The car was fun, the stops were well chosen, and the guide knew so much. I feel like I understand Romania’s history and the communist period much better now. We also saw some really interesting neighborhoods and architecture. Our guide never rushed us, answered all our questions, and was very helpful.

5.00A special experience to be driven in a 70s Dacia around the major sites of Bucarest with Serban’s expert and engaging telling of the recent history of Romania, with the focus on the Communist era. We learnt so many things. The Dacia was a warm refuge on a chilly morning, and we really appreciated the photos and being dropped off near Ceru cu bere. Thank you!

The cars, the stops you make on the tour and the guides are incredible. Will recommend this to anyone travelling to Bucharest, especially if you want a fun, informed way to learn about the country and city with a very knowledgable guide!

We also appreciated getting the “newspaper “ detailing the facts of everything we had observed and learned about. They even came and picked us up! You won’t regret taking this tour!

5.00Booked this tour for my foreign boyfriend, and I think having him drive a vintage Dacia and hearing the story of Communism while immersed in the most ubiquitous car of that era (for Romania) preemptively solved most arguments that will come up in our relationship due to cultural differences! He had a great time, but so did I, I learned some things I had not known before and I got to drive around in a car that smelled just like my grandfather's car. Talk about a trip down memory lane. If you're in doubt, don't be, this is an awesome experience to have!
