What To Expect
Casino Barriere Trouville
A casino was built in 1847. Originally, it is not a simple gambling establishment, but a cozy place frequented by an elegant and wealthy clientele. Balls, operettas and plays are regularly held there. The theater is considered "worthy of the biggest stages", the acoustics are excellent and the best artistic productions of the time are presented. The greatest artists and personalities of the high society of the time attend during their holidays, the Laffitte, Vernes, Perrier, Seillière, but also counts and countesses as Pourtualès or Poniatowski.
Plage Des Bains
"A monkey in winter", a film by Henri Verneuil, was shot there during the winter of 1961-1962. Villerville appears there under the name of Tigreville. A local association, created in 2001, perpetuates the memory of the shooting. Since June 2007, a large photo of the film Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondo, the two stars of the film, has been hanging on a wall at the entrance to the main street. Down this street is the Norman Cabaret, a restaurant used for filming.

5.00Amazing! Being picked up from port & then climbing into side cart, made us feel super special. All eyes were on us! Then off we went on a brilliant tour & got a little taste of history. Our guide was very friendly & knowledgeable. Only thing I say be aware of, is when you are on the bike and the winds are blowing in your face… it can be a little eye watering, so glasses are a must!

The Retro Tours sidecar ride was absolutely amazing — beautiful vintage bikes, stunning Normandy scenery, and 2 fantastic guides who made the history come alive. A completely unique way to see the region with huge smiles all round. Highly recommend!

5.00Hello, After having done our side car christening on the tour of Deauville, we let ourselves be tented by the one of Honfleur and its surroundings. That was great! It must be said that we were in the company of Florent who is an excellent guide, passionate, considerate and of great kindness. He also gave it full of little anecdotes about different places of the visit. All finished with an apple juice for us. Thank you for this experience and our great guide. I can only recommend. Yes, sir.
