A really great trip. We visited restaurants that we would never otherwise have known about and tried dishes we would never have thought of ordering. Anna was a brilliant guide with so much information on the various dishes and the places we visited.

We recently did the Private Street Food Evening Walking Tour in Ho Chi Minh City with our guide Grace, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the moment we were picked up, Grace made us feel comfortable and excited for the evening ahead. She spoke excellent English and had a warm, friendly manner that instantly put us at ease. Throughout the tour she guided us through local streets and alleys we never would have found on our own. At every stop she explained each dish—what it was made of, its origins and how best to enjoy it. The variety was amazing: from savoury pancakes and BBQ seafood (or substitutions when needed) to fresh juices and homemade ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted fresh, vibrant and true to the local flavour. What stood out most was how Grace tailored the experience to us: she checked in, made sure we were comfortable, accommodated our pace and ensured we never felt rushed. The entire night felt like being shown around by a friend who just happens to know all the best food spots in town. By the end of the evening we were completely satisfied—both in appetite and in the richness of the experience. If you want an evening of real local food, hidden gems, and a guide who’s attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, ask for Grace. We wouldn’t want anyone else showing us around Saigon for that tour.

We had an absolutely amazing food tour with Trân as our guide. Not only did we discover many delicious dishes that we wouldn't have otherwise, we got a lot more than expected as Trân taught us many things about Vietnam's culture and its different regions. Highly highly recommend this tour, and you'll be lucky if you get Trân as your guide.

We had a great time on the food tour with our guide Vejo. I appreciated how he explained how the food is made and eaten, and also the culture of Vietnam/Ho Chi Minh City. The food was also excellent! Unfortunately due to a personal emergency we had to discontinue our tour early. Vejo ensured that we got back to our hotel safely and went out of his way to deliver the food from the restaurants that we hadn’t yet reached! Vejo was also responsive to WhatsApp messages the next day as we we explored Ho Chi Minh City and needed some tips. While our tour didn’t go as planned, I’m grateful to our guide, Vejo, for helping us make the best of things that night and supporting a great weekend. If I return to Ho Chi Minh City, I hope to do this tour again.

Harry, our guide, met us at our hotel and took us on a short cab ride to the first of our 6 stops. His knowledge, professionalism, care and attention and good sense of humour was amazing and we tried a wide variety of different food types including meat, fish, vegetables, noodles, herbs, egg, nuts and sauces with a fabulous ice cream to end that was a mix of sorbet, ice cream, nuts, and coconut. It was a super experience, walking between the venues and mixing with the locals and everything was very smooth and well organised. We walked through the flower market at the end of the evening to our waiting cab and Harry gave us both a lotus flower and showed us how to prepare it for display. It was a very memorable experience, run by a quality tour operator and guide and we would thoroughly recommend doing this when you first arrive in Vietnam or Ho Chi Minh City to acclimatise yourself and give you the experience and knowledge to try for yourself. A quality experience and one we will remember for some time to come.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this food tour. Tran was our guide and she was so sweet and knowledgeable. We liked all the food stops and we felt very safe walking around. Do not be worried about eating local food - everything was delicious and well cooked. We even had an ice tea and a wonderful avocado cream milkshake that was delicious. Highly recommend this food tour if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City.

Catherine was an excellent tour guide. She was energetic, knowledgeable and kind. The tour was exactly what we were hoping for, a taste of local food and a glimpse of local culture. I would recommend this tour if you want something off the beaten path and I would recommend Catherine as a guide!
