Unlike most large ´surf schools´, our exclusively and unique personalized surf lessons for all surfing levels, ensure that you, your friends and family are going to receive the attention and time required for an unforgettable first, safe, fun and educational introduction to surfing and the ocean environment. Our team is sure to have you hooked on surfing before you ever leave the water. Join us to start catching waves!
The Surfing Lesson includes:
• Free roundtrip transportation in Playa Grande, Flamingo or Tamarindo.
• Safety speeach and beach practice (10-15 min)
• Professional Local Surf Instructor (1instructor per 3 adults or 2 kids)
• Surf Board for the lesson
• Rashguard (lycra)
• Cold Water
• Tropical Fruits
• *Option include breakfast or typical lunch
Our Schedule is: 7am, 10am, 1pm or 4pm

What To Expect
We will be waiting for you at our office in Playa Grande, from there we will provide you a private transportation to the best surfing spot of the beach for your surfing level, away from the crowd. Instructors will be waiting at the beach with all the equipment. First 10-15 min we will be giving you the safety speech, some tips and we will practice on the sand before we get in the water. Then we will start to catch some waves mind while your professional instructor gives you personalized tips for you to improve. In the middle of the lesson, we will take a break to eat fruits and drink water. You need to recover the energy. After the break, the instructor will teach you how to catch your own waves depends on your performance. At the end of the lesson we will stop at the office for you to take a shower and change your clothes. Lesson Schedule: 7am, 10am, 1pm or 4pm.

Amazing experience surfing with Marcos!

5.00My husband and I were pointed to Marcos by our Airbnb host, and we had an amazing time! Marcos taught us the basics and safety and quickly got us out in the water. We successfully road a few waves to the shore and just had a blast. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great experience! There seemed to be a disconnect between the tour company and TripAdvisor when we first arrived they did not know we were going to be there. Kyressa (hopefully the spelling is close) was wonderful though. She apologized and went right to work getting a tour guide scheduled and offered us several different options to make up for the confusion. We chose to spend the morning on the beach and do the surf lessons in the afternoon instead. Kyreesa provided us with free chairs, umbrella, and wake boards to make sure we enjoyed our morning. The lesson itself was awesome! Erickson was great with the kids and had us all up on boards including me in the first 15 minutes and I am old and overweight. He was also very safety conscious and even shared some of his own personal zinc barrier sunscreen when he saw ours wasn’t cutting it. The kids loved the lesson and I would highly recommend it.

5.00We took a private surfing lesson in August 2024, and our very patient instructor helped 2 clumsy people actually stand up on surfboards. We felt like superheroes. Looking forward to taking another lesson when we go back to Cost Rica.

5.00Holy Moly, the crew at “YOUARECOSTARICA” was the most helpful, resourceful, and engaging company that I have ever had the pleasure doing a family trip. Our flight was cancelled, we were beat when we finally arrived and they somehow were totally able to “fix” everything! They arranged childcare for two littles and the Nannie’s were delightful - we were all blown away with services and hope one day we can come again to to just enjoy their hospitality!

5.00The kids had a great time and all got to stand up quite a bit. The only feedback was make sure you ask for the full two hours if you pay for that. It a was great and they loved it. They were just disappointed it was a little shorter than we expected. Good time.

Super good vibes all round and booking a surf lesson here is a must to make you playa grande visit complete. Can’t wait to go back and take some more.
