I wasn’t sure what to expect after hearing about the earthquake in Hualien but I decided to try this tour and I’m so glad I did! My tour guide Caleb was so sweet and he knew how to make some adjustments on the fly to accommodate changing weather and the restrictions on the roads to make sure I got to see everything. I was able to see the gorge and all the beautiful scenery including the temples in the national park and some really gorgeous coastal views and he also suggested a really wonderful lunch to try some of the indigenous Taiwanese food which was excellent and very inexpensive. There is still some construction and there are some things that aren’t open, but if you are wondering if it’s still worth going to Taroko and whether it is a good idea to do the day trip from Taipei, I think the answer is absolutely yes! Especially since some things are still closed I’m glad I decided to do the day trip rather than trying to stay overnight in Hualien. The drive was also pleasant with some nice scenery and the car ride was comfortable and relaxing. The scenery in Taroko is just so gorgeous - don’t miss it! I highly recommend this tour!

Great experience, would absolutely recommend doing! The Taroko gorge is beautiful and worth a trip even if you can’t do any hiking atm because of the recent earthquake. Caleb, our English speaking tourguide, shared a lot of interesting information on the ride. It was really nice talking to him about culture and Taiwan in general. He adapted the plan to our personal preference and made us feel very comfortable. Thank you!

My wife and I spent three weeks in Taiwan back in 2017. This is one of the stop and we spent hours on walking on this trai. Beautiful view. Great air. HOPE THE TRAIL SURVIVES after the recent quake (i.e. April 3, 2024)

We had an amazing day at Taroko Gorge, Jeffrey was an incredible guide, friendly and informative and always ready to take a photo. We managed to fit in everything we wanted to see in addition to a bonus visit to the suspension bridge. A full day of beautiful sights. Well worth the journey from Taipei.

This was fantastic. We had a private tour for my husband and I since my husband walks slowly. This tour was from our cruise ship. He was a little late, but there within 15 mins. His English was good. He customized the tour so we wouldn't have a lot of walking. He stayed with my husband when they were walking which was great. I couldn't believe how beautiful Taroko Gorge is. I highly recommend Yolo for the Gorge and the area around it.

This review is for YOLO and our guide Ben, who took our family on a private tour to Taroko National Park. We are deeply saddened by those impacted by the earthquake. But we wanted to mention that the service and guided tour that YOLO and Ben provided was wonderful, timely pick-up/drop-off, considerate of making sure there were enough stops, lots of information and background of the sights, and also took some wonderful family photos for us. It was a long day but well worth it.

I had arranged a private tour to Taroko NP for my husband and me. Making the booking was easy and I had excellent communication beforehand. We were picked up promptly by Peter, who was really nice, with a very comfortable Hyundai van. First stop was a beach walk, then on to Taroko. He took us to the Shakadang Trail - here, since it's the most popular trail, we encountered our ship's big group tours but this was the last we saw of any of them for the rest of the day, just a few other tourists. We saw all the key sights and Peter took pictures of us, too. We had lunch in the park and when the only Atm would not work for me, Peter paid and near the end of our day took me to another one to get funds to repay him. All in all a great day. Highly recommend YOLO. PS, I am just getting around to posting reviews of our 5 week trip and Hualien was hit by a severe earthquake so I hope all at YOLO are OK. Best regards our guide Peter.

Our private tour of beautiful Taroko Gorge National Park was enjoyed by our entire family. We greatly appreciated Jim’s knowledge of the sights and expert driving. The surprise Indigenous lunch in the park was very much appreciated! We are back home safe & sound and just heard the terrible news about the earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers are with the wonderful people of Taiwan!

This day was perfect. Our thoughtful guide, Stephen, picked us up and we stopped at a rest stop for a few yummy breakfast items. The car was safe, clean and comfortable. After that, we stopped at several different places with unique and stunning scenery, including some light walks/hikes. This was our first time in Taiwan and it was a great intro to the natural beauty. Stephen was very thoughtful and gave some interesting context on each place we visited.

Harry made the relatively long drive to taroko gorge informative and enjoyable - friendly and very patient waiting for even the most excessive picture takers. We had a great day with him and some good laughs! Scenery was beautiful and the hike to the top of the temple Was worth it!
