  • Tashkent City Day Tour and Photography

    Jurish C,Apr 13, 2026

    - Review from Tripadvisor

On April 8, 2026, I had a rainy day tour in Tashkent with Aziz, a TripAdvisor guide. Despite the rain, we continued walking. I had booked a private vehicle for $55, but unfortunately, I lost my Visa card in Samarkand, which was the only way to pay for the reserved amount of $55, causing a delay. Uzbekistan is a central pillar of Central Asian history with a nearly 3,000-year legacy, functioning as a vital crossroads on the Silk Road. Its history is defined by ancient Iranian nomads, conquest by Alexander the Great, the spread of Islam, the Timurid Renaissance, and Soviet integration before becoming an independent republic in 1991. Moving on to my tour guide: Mr. Aziz is a 20-year-old student at the Webster University campus in Tashkent. He is fluent in English and has a great passion for photography. He is very expressive and knowledgeable, explaining the historical significance of monuments in every corner of Tashkent. Since he’s a photography enthusiast, I highly recommend Mr. Aziz as an affordable tour guide in Tashkent. He is truly passionate about showcasing his country to guests, focusing more on the experience than the time. He is very flexible with the schedule, so much so that I was the one who suggested stopping before we finished visiting all the remaining spots. Please check out his photography page at @pathora.trip and his Instagram account @_kadirov.az. Trust me, booking his services is worth it; not only is he kind, but he is also a very understanding person. Although he is only 20 years old, he speaks with a level of maturity and depth that goes far beyond his age.

We had a wonderful day with Aziz touring Tashkent on his photography tour of the city. We took photos and he took great photos of us. We saw a great selection of monuments, and beautiful architectural structures. He took us on the metro to see the lovely underground stations from the Soviet era. We ate an excellent lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditionally cooked food which was included in the price. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend his tour! And he is an exceptional photographer!

I highly recommend this tour, especially at the beginning of your stay, for anyone visiting Tashkent. It’s a great way to see the city’s major sites while admiring the architecture, learning about the history, and taking time to truly appreciate the people of Uzbekistan. Aziz was very thoughtful throughout the tour, always checking in to make sure I was comfortable with the walking pace and enjoying the food along the way. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated his photography skills-Aziz takes amazing photos, so you’ll leave with wonderful memories of everything you experienced. Because it’s a private tour, we were able to go at our own pace and never felt rushed. I also loved experiencing local life, from taking the train to trying different food vendors and even stopping by a supermarket. Aziz clearly puts a lot of care into his tours, and I really enjoyed our conversations while exploring Tashkent. Overall, there’s no need to keep looking-this tour is definitely worth booking.

I had a wonderful tour in Tashkent with Aziz and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its history, and culture, and he also happens to be an excellent photographer... which made the experience even more special. I felt taken care of the entire time. Aziz was attentive, kind, and always one step ahead to make sure everything was perfect. He truly went above and beyond what was agreed to just to make my experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommend touring with him if you want a meaningful, well-organized, and warm experience in Tashkent!

It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this tour to everyone. By joining this tour and getting a good overview of Uzbekistan, I think the rest of your trip will become even richer and more meaningful. Our guide, Aziz, was extremely knowledgeable, very gentle in manner, and above all, truly sincere and thoughtful — from the moment of booking, throughout the tour itself, and even afterward when he sent photos. Although I booked just the day before, he responded quickly, and on the day of the tour he was already waiting for me before our meeting time. He carefully listened to my interests and what I wanted to do, and did his best to incorporate them into the itinerary. He spoke vividly not only about Uzbekistan’s history and sightseeing spots, but also about everyday life here, which made me fall in love with the country. Although he is young, he is incredibly well informed. He never simply talked about what he knew — he always paid attention to what I was interested in. He also has a very good camera and took so many beautiful photos throughout the tour. He knows great photo spots as well, so I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants memorable and beautiful pictures. I love traveling and have visited over 70 countries, meeting many guides along the way — and Aziz is truly one of the best. Highly recommended! Aziz, thank you so much for such a wonderful day. Uzbekistan is lucky to have such an amazing guide like you.
