This was a really fun and comprehensive tour with great hands-on experiences! The Washi making and postcard gilding were my personal favourites, the instruction was clear and we got to keep our handmade products as souvenirs! The staff at each experience location were very friendly and knowledgeable and we had lots of time to complete each craft. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Ehime beyond the crowded tourist spots in the main cities! I definitely recommend bringing a translation app or someone with Japanese language skills, as most of the information is in Japanese. The washi paper making and gilding experiences are hands on enough that you can understand what to do easily by watching, but it was a bit more challenging during some parts of the sake tasting.

This half day tour took us to three interesting locations. Our first stop was a paper making facility . We got a hands on experience to learn how paper was made, and got to take our efforts home. Our second stop was a small craft shop where we got to try our hands at making guilded postcards. The instruction was great and no previous experience required. We rounded out the day with a trip to a local sake shop where we received an informative tour on how sake was made and sampled a few varieties before we headed back home. A most enjoyable afternoon!

It was such a fun trip!! Well balanced of nature, culture, and craftsmanship. The seneray on the way and next to the sake brewery is very beautiful. The paper making workshop was in the real factory. So we can observe real production. And the paper making is harder than I thought but was very fun! The gilding experience is also unique and fun! The sake tour was well structured and very informative. Of course the sake was very delicious!

Visiting Matsuyama City for the first time, I wanted to experience some traditional crafts and was able to find this tour. I learned so much about washi making and was even able to make my own sheet of paper! Our instructor was incredibly thoughtful and was able to answer all of our many questions. The metal gilding experience was one where we were able to select two postcards and press metal onto it. The designs were beautiful and I was able to leave with a unique souvenir. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough for those that are looking for something unique to do in Ehime. The sake tour was wonderful as well and the nihonshu released in 12/1 of 2025 was absolutely delicious! I am excited to try it again at home!

It was such a fun and fulfilling experience. I was able to experience some things I never did before like the gilding workshop and made my own washi paper. The timing of the tour was also perfectly arranged so we can take our time with each and every activities. Thank you so much and it was a pleasure to visit Ehime!

This tour is a perfect way to do a lot in just a half a day: from visiting Michi no Eki with lots of souvenirs and beautiful sea views to paper making and postcard gilding experience, finishing it off with a sake brewery tour and tasting! I really enjoyed it!
