Custom tour designed for you and where your interests are. We are not on a schedule and can even adapt as we go depending upon what we find on your special day.
I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute.
My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

Rocky Mountain National Park
This tour begins with meeting your party at your lodging in Estes Park or at the Estes Park Visitor Center on 500 Big Thompson Ave. We'll make a few short stops to view historical sites and look for wildlife in the Estes Valley before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park. In winter our destination is Bear Lake for breathtaking snowy scenery or maybe a short snowshoe walk in the forest! In summer our destination is Trail Ridge Road the highest continuous road in the US. Both tours include plenty of stops for wildlife viewing, photography and a short hike as you and the time allow.

Bruce is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would suggest that moving forward he have water available in the vehicle for his guests. Three hours at high altitude when you are unfamiliar with the area is key. The only other suggestion would be that the site inform that the tour is in an SUV. As it sits in the middle of jeep tours making it seem like it is a jeep tour. Otherwise it was fantastic and really appreciated Bruce’s knowledge of the park geology and history.

I hired a 3 hour guided tour for my daughter and her foreign e change student from Germany to explore Rocky Mountain National Park. Their guide Ron was very interested in what the gals were interested in doing and came up with the perfect plan for the afternoon. Ron was very educational and shared a lot of history on each of their excursions. They really enjoyed the afternoon.

We had a wonderful time. Bruce our guide was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the park and all the flora and fauna. We enjoyed listening to him tell the history of the area. If anyone takes this tour, I highly recommend asking for Bruce to be the guide!

Bruce is highly knowledgeable of RMNP and the Estes Park area. We learned so much in the three hours of the tour. He went above & beyond to assure we had a memorable experience. Don’t bother with trying to schedule an appointment to get into RMNP. Just book a tour, relax and learn.

My husband and i went on an afternoon tour with Bruce and it was one of the best decisions we made. He's so knowledgeable about the park, the animals and the plants. He stops where you get some of the best views and explains what you're looking at. We were hoping to see wildlife and boy did we ever. We saw heards of elk, some pretty big mule deer and even got to see a moose. Bruce is very personal, easy to talk to and an excellent tour guide. So glad we got to tour RMNP with him.
