Lots of walking. Lots of info about colonial Williamsburg. Doesn't enter the buildings, it’s more of an overview. Need pass to enter buildings.

The guide is good and helped us understand Williamsburg. More detailed stories about where things happened would be helpful.

A wonderful master course in history! The tour guide was spectacular - and carefully took in our list of events and demonstrations we had reviewed prior for the tour on the day's events calendar on the CW website.

While my wife and I were taking the tour with our wonderful and knowledgeable guide Will, I noticed the following. There was a crowd of around 30 people surrounding a “group” tour guide. He was shouting, no doubt, so everyone in the crowd could hear. I knew I made the right choice, right then and there.

This was an excellent tour for our family being 1st time visitors and not knowing what to expect or how to navigate. Our tour guide, Sharon, was awesome - very informative, personable & organized. As we walked, she pointed out key sites , relative historical facts and events and interacted with some trade craftspeople & character actors, thus immersing us into the colonial Williamsburg experience and time. We were motivated to experience more and extended our visit into the next day to catch what we missed. We highly recommend this tour especially to first time visitors unfamiliar with (and like us, maybe underestimating) the great experience Colonial Williamsburg has to offer.
