This is a wonderful private tour with Dragan. You are driven up the mountain while given the history of Kotor, and are able to take some beautiful photos on route to Dragon's family home. We were given a tour and explanation of the process of curing their prosciutto. We were then given a lovely plate of prosciutto, cheese and bread to eat while relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. This was such a lovely tour, and Dragan was a perfect tour guide! I highly recommend this tour.

The experience was fantastic! 5 stars doesn't give the tour enough credit, the people were lovely and very very helpful, and even offered extra meat after we finished ours. They made sure we weren't in a rush and helped with the lovely photos taken. Overall, when I next come back to Montenegro, I will be doing this tour again.

Dragan also offers a tour through Tours by Locals that includes a walking tour of Old Town Kotor and a visit to his family home. It was perfect for our one-day cruise visit. Dragan deserves 10 out of 5 stars for that tour. He gets 5 of 5 stars as a tour guide: he is engaging, knowledgeable, and professional as a guide, sharing his enthusiasm for both his city and the surrounding countryside. The scenery on the ride up the mountain is gorgeous and his conversation was truly enlightening about life in Kotor and Montenegro. His walking tour of old Kotor was equally enjoyable. Additionally, Dragan deserves another 5 stars as a host. In his family village, he introduced us to his other business of smoking prosciutto and then treated us to a feast: smoked meats, local cheeses, local wine and brandy, and homemade bread and cake. While we ate, he demonstrated some of the handmade family heirlooms and spoke about life in the villages. Absolutely a tour not to miss!

It was a great day with Dragan, starting with the professional communication before the trip. He has and told a lot about your country, made cool stops for photos. His family welcomed us warmly. The tasting of ham , cheese and sausage was excellent. There was wine and schnapps. we had a great day and can recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful time learning much about the history and culture of Kotor Montenegro. Alex picked us up at our cruise ship and drove us about 30 minutes to his family home in the mountains. He shared many stories about his family and the local culture. Once at their home we toured the prosciutto production operation and then had samples of the meat as well as their wine and grappa. It was an awesome day and great excursion.

This was an excellent experience from beginning to end. So organized. Great communication before. So much fun. We have been to Kotor before, but this was unbelievably wonderful. The family was warm and wonderful. We highly recommend.

This was an exceptional tour. We were met promptly and had a brief tour of the Old Town before heading to the mountain village for wonderful food and wine. The views on the route were spectacular.

Please don’t pass up this incredible, culturally rich experience in Montenegro. We had an unexpected delay when our cruise ship made a last-minute stop to help a medically distressed passenger, which pushed our arrival into port back significantly. Despite the sudden change, the communication with the tour company was kind, flexible, and incredibly patient. They stayed in touch frequently and adjusted plans smoothly, which we truly appreciated. We were blown away by the hospitality and the depth of local culture shared with us. The food in Montenegro is absolutely amazing — and the locally cured hams are unforgettable! You can truly taste the tradition and care that goes into them. Kotor itself is a gem — historically rich, breathtakingly beautiful, and full of character. We were left wanting more and are already dreaming about returning to explore even deeper. Highly recommend this tour and this company — they go above and beyond to make your visit to Montenegro something truly special.

This was an outstanding experience. The prosciutto was delicious and enjoying rakija was great as well. One of the best parts of this experience, though, is the ride up the mountain and the beautiful views you get to enjoy. Unlike many of the other trips that are available in Kotor, this trip will provide you with an opportunity to visit a historical village in the mountains where the beauty of the surroundings and the mountain breezes will make your experience more unique and memorable. This is definitely an opportunity that you do now want to pass up

Everyone in the group enjoyed this tour. Dragan was very personable and we all enjoyed how he shared his life and experiences with us. His home is at the top of the serpentine road, so you get to see amazing views the whole way up and down the mountain. We felt like very welcome tourists getting to see his home and family while sampling their homemade wine, cheeses, and cured meats. This is a gem of a tour we will talk about for several years. What great people and an awesome tour. Highly recommended by everyone in our group of 8.
