What To Expect
Kufri derives its name from ‘Kufr’ which means lake. The region around Shimla including Kufri was once a part of the Kingdom of Nepal. This region remained obscure from the rest of the world until the British 'discovered' it in 1819. The British made Shimla their summer capital in 1864 and it remained so until 1939. As Shimla gained importance, Kufri also began to be recognized as an important place to visit near Shimla.
Himalayan Nature Park is located amidst 90 hectares of temperate vegetation that forms natural habitat for many a wild animals of the Western Himalaya. this park is one of the most exciting places to visit in Kufri. Tucked between the mighty Himalayas, it extends breathtaking views. From Kashmir Stag, Barking Deer, Blue Sheep to Red Jungle Fowl and Blue Sheep each one of them can be spotted here. Not only this here you can also spot different variants of flora and fauna dwelling in the natural enclosures. It's truly a paradise for wildlife lovers! Great tour company , not sure about Shimla

5.00Ok - the tour company were first rate . Rinku spoke almost flawless English and was both knowledgeable and good company. The driver also has to receive a mention as navigating Shimlas traffic is ( I imagine ) no easy task . The downside itself was Shimla itself , which I admit was not enhanced by an almost continual downpour but as someone who has been travelling in India for the past 5-6 months was somewhat disappointing .

5.00Great guide and overall a fun experience. Loved the fact that enough time was spent at each of the spots and we were allowed to tailor the experience to our own wishes. While the tour was for 6 hours - we felt the time flew by.

5.00This tour is a must do. Seeing Shimla and learning it's history from different points in the city then taking a walking tour of the Mall was made all the more interesting by our guide Sanjay. Sanjay is a local of Shimla and his knowledge of the history of Shimla really adds another layer to the tour. He goes above and beyond. Sanjay is an absolute master of his role. If he is your guide you won't be disappointed. This tour is a MUST DO.

5.00Excellent tour. Very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Raj was our organizer. Always available to answer questions and able to make changes last minute. Also was able to present us with customized tour options for different days. Our tour guide Vinay was exceptional. A Shimla local and was very knowledgeable about the area and very pleasant to talk to. I definitely recommend this company!
