The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.
Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)
The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.

Jinny guided us through the main temples and the palace. She was super friendly, patient, and knew all the best spots for photos. The architecture and colors were amazing, and she gave just enough info to make it interesting without overwhelming us. Totally smooth and fun day.

I didn’t expect to be this impressed, but the temples were honestly stunning. The first one felt peaceful and full of detail everywhere you look. The second had this giant golden figure that somehow makes you stop talking for a minute. And the riverside temple… just wow, especially with the light hitting it. Da was the sweetest guide calm, patient, and always sharing just the right amount of history without overwhelming us. She made the whole day feel effortless. Such a lovely experience.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is truly an impressive place. The colors, the gold details, and the architecture are absolutely breathtaking. Every corner feels refined, and the spiritual atmosphere is something you can’t really describe until you’re standing there. I was lucky to visit with Annie, who made the experience even more meaningful. She explained everything in a clear, engaging way without overwhelming us, and her calm, friendly personality made the visit feel even more special. A must-see spot to understand the soul of Bangkok

The temple was absolutely stunning every detail, every carved piece felt like a work of art. I took a moment to sit down and the atmosphere was almost unreal… peaceful, calm, and kind of magical. Poppy, my guide, added so much to the visit. She pointed out little details I would’ve completely missed and shared stories that made everything feel even more special. Truly a place you must see

James was patient and fun. Walking around the temples was calming, but he kept it interesting with random facts and humor. I took my time snapping pictures and soaking it all in. James made the day stayed relaxed and enjoyable. I really loved this tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok!

Trip was wonderful. The Royal Palace and the three main temples the Emerald Buddha, Reclining Buddha, and Temple of Dawn were stunning and a real treat to see. Annie, our guide, made sure the day went smoothly. She’s super knowledgeable and speaks English really well, so chatting with her was easy and fun. I’d definitely recommend this tour, especially with Annie as your guide. Big thanks also to our driver for navigating Bangkok traffic safely!

Eva showed us the main temples in Bangkok. The Grand Palace was really stunning, and the other temples were peaceful and beautiful. These three temples are a must-visit for everyone. Our guide Eva was patient and clearly has been here hundreds of times, haha. She’s very knowledgeable and also really funny, we enjoyed the day with her a lot.
