What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
Picked up between 7:00am to 13:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Cable car can take you up to the Great Wall, you can choose to enjoy the hiking to the peak or stay to enjoy the beautiful view. Cable down or toboggan down would be more fun. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel

5.00Wendy and the driver picked us up right on time at our hotel lobby to take us to the Great Wall. Both were extremely kind, and we traveled in a very comfortable car, which was perfect for my friend and me. On the way, Wendy shared several interesting facts about China, which is exactly what we were hoping to learn from this visit. Once we arrived, she helped us take the cable car and accompanied us to the Wall. She gave us very interesting historical explanations and then allowed us plenty of free time to enjoy and walk along the Wall at our own pace. It was absolutely beautiful. Wendy was always willing to help, very friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. Afterward, we also visited jade and tea shops, so we truly had the full experience. I definitely recommend this tour! Wendy is a fantastic guide and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!

5.00My partner and I recently took a small group English tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall and it was a fantastic experience! We were fortunate to have a beautiful day, and our tour guide, Lucy, made it even more memorable. Lucy spoke fluent English, with clear pronunciation and a lovely accent that made everything she said easy to understand. Her warmth and friendliness created a welcoming atmosphere throughout the tour. We chose the gondola option that did not include the slide, thinking it would mean fewer people, and it turned out to be a great decision! We were pleasantly surprised by how few visitors there were that day, allowing us to take pictures without anyone in the background—something that’s often hard to achieve at such popular attractions. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you can request Lucy as your guide. She is not only knowledgeable about the history and significance of the Great Wall but also really personable, making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved. If I were to take another tour, I would definitely ask for her again!

5.00I had the pleasure of visiting the Mutianyu section of the great wall with this program, and I rate it as excellent. My guide, Sonny, was both knowledgable about the sites we visited and enthusiastic, and excellent companion for the trip. She also knew all the best locations for photographs, something I am sure my girlfriend will appreciate. The Mutianyu section of the great wall was spectacular and an amazing sight. It was also not as steep as I had initially expected, so I think this trip is suitable for everyone with a moderate level of fitness. The fact we had an excellent driver and Sonny did most of the organising work made travelling to this site and reaching the attraction a smoooth journey for me. 10/10 Strongly Recommend.
