What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
Hotel pick-up at your downtown hotel lobby. We will then drive directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall, famous for its stunning natural scenery—lush forests and vibrant landscapes that transform beautifully with each season. Located in Huairou District, northeast of Beijing, this section is approximately 75 kilometers from the city center. As one of the best‑preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall, Mutianyu historically served as a vital northern defensive barrier protecting the capital. You may take the cable car up to the wall. You can choose to hike along the wall to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, or take the cable car down or Chairlift up and toboggan ride for a fun and memorable descent. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Approximately 12 people: Please make your own way to the meeting point. No need to provide your hotel information. Meeting time: 7:30am.: Please arrive 5 minutes early. By Taxi: Regent Beijing Hotel, 99 Jinbao Street, near Wangfujing. By Subway: Take Line 5 to Dengshikou Station (Exit C). Walk 50m (1 min) to the hotel entrance. 1.00Youre not going to get anything from this tour that justifies the price. What happens is that they will give you a didi driver (equivalent to didi comfort). And a lady that will accompany you to the line. Once we’re inside she barely said anything and just waited for us to be done. There is nothing of value here. Linda was also lazy and rude. She asked my wife 20 personal questions that she was clearly not happy answering. Slept and snored on the way back and refused to get us water when i told her the lady was charging me ( a white guy) 7USD per water. We paid 180usd per person so 360usd total. This wouldve been around 120usd had we done everything on our own. Which, again, is basically what happened. When they dropped us off in the hotel i got out, called a didi car and guess who shows up? Literally the driver that drove us to the wall. You can’t make this up. Lesson learned.

5.00We’ve had the best day with Maggie on the tour. Our driver was experienced and the journey was smooth. We arrived just before 9am which meant we missed any crowds and it felt that we had the whole wall to ourselves. The chair lift and toboggan was so much fun! Overall the day was well organised, excellent fun and would 100% recommend.
