What To Expect

Mutianyu Great Wall

Picked up between 7:00am to 13:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Cable car can take you up to the Great Wall, you can choose to enjoy the hiking to the peak or stay to enjoy the beautiful view. Cable down or toboggan down would be more fun. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel

Our trip to the Great Wall was incredible. Lucy, our intrepid guide, was knowledgeable, engaged and kept us comfortable on a 100 degree day. Pick up was a snap, right from the hotel. I would also add that Lucy saved us from ourselves insofar knowing when a line is just not worth it. Highly recommend. The tour. And Lucy.

Our guide Linda Li and our driver Mr Sun were the best, we had a beautiful day, they had a lot of patience and took us to the pace we wanted, without rush. Linda Li is the best historian told us all about the Chinese wall and the dynasties, kept my children entertained. Recommended to 100 make this experience is wonderful and hopefully they will have guides like ours!
