What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
Picked up between 7:00am to 13:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Cable car can take you up to the Great Wall, you can choose to enjoy the hiking to the peak or stay to enjoy the beautiful view. Cable down or toboggan down would be more fun. At the end, you will transferred back to your hotel

5.00Had a great experience with Jerry, who was a friendly & knowledgeable tour guide! He provided lots of historical facts & context during our tour, as well as funny jokes. He also helped handle all the ticketing during the tour, allowing us to enjoy the full experience. I would definitely recommend doing this tour for anyone interested in going to the Great Wall!

5.00Lucy Made Our Great Wall Day Truly Special We had such a great time visiting the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall with our guide, Lucy. From the start, she made us feel comfortable and welcomed. She explained the history of the Great Wall, the dynasties, and the stories behind the battles and construction in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely interesting. Her knowledge of Chinese history is incredible, and we learned so much throughout the day. One thing that really stood out was how eager she was to help us capture the moment. Lucy took amazing photos — some of the best we’ve ever had on a trip. She knew all the perfect angles, the best scenic spots, and was happy to take as many pictures as we wanted. Her friendliness, patience, and expertise turned this tour into one of the highlights of our stay in China. We’re so grateful for the experience and highly recommend Lucy to anyone visiting the Great Wall!

From the moment she picked us up in Beijing, she was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Lucy shared fascinating history and stories about the Great Wall, Beijing, and Chinese culture in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. She paced the day perfectly, gave us great tips for the climb and the best viewpoints, and she also took the best pictures of us — truly some of our favorite photos from the entire trip. Her eye for great angles and scenic backgrounds made every shot amazing. Her English is excellent, and her friendly personality made the experience fun and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If you’re visiting the Great Wall, we highly recommend requesting Lucy — she truly made our trip special!

5.00Fantastic Tour with Jessica! We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Jessica! She picked us up right from our hotel and came fully prepared with plenty of snacks for the trip. Jessica took care of all the logistics—purchasing and coordinating our tickets—so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She gave us great recommendations about which sections of the Great Wall to visit, making sure we got the best views and experience without the big crowds. Along the way, she shared fascinating stories and history, not just about the Great Wall but also about Beijing and Chinese culture in general. Jessica was friendly, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made the whole day smooth, engaging, and memorable. 5.00Wendy picked us up from our hotel right on time and we started the drive to the Great Wall. On the drive there she shared history and information about Beijing that was so helpful and we are already looking forward to coming back someday to use her sightseeing tips. If I could do this again I would have booked this tour for our first day in Beijing, because she told us about other sites we can see in the city. When we got to the wall she shared more information and history as we got to the tower. She took the best pictures to capture the beautiful views and memories of visiting this incredible landmark. If I am ever in Beijing I will be booking another tour with Wendy. Not only is she knowledgeable but she was friendly, gave us food recommendations, and showed us the best places to get souvenirs. This tour is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beijing.

5.00First of all, the views we got were beautiful and the further you go the more unique sights you can see. The wall was 100% worth the visit and the time/money spent to see. Wendy was a pivotal member of the tour as well. Having a guide that speaks fluent English and is so knowledgeable and friendly was very helpful and delighting to have her along our journey. I would recommend her to anyone who is traveling this way with hopes to visit the Great Wall of china. She and her team were early to pick us up and understanding of the pace we walked at and helped up take photos along the way as well as put a slideshow together for us without asking which was an added bonus.
