Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)
Visit the famous Maeklong Railway Market, one of the most unique markets in Thailand. Here, you will witness the incredible moment when the train passes directly through the market. As the train approaches the station, local vendors quickly pull back their umbrellas, fold their awnings, and move their goods away from the railway tracks to clear the path. Once the train has passed, everything is set up again within seconds, and the market returns to its lively atmosphere. At the market, you will find a wide variety of products including fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, local snacks, and many inexpensive souvenirs. It is also a great place to observe the daily life of local people as they sell fresh produce and goods in this bustling traditional market. Don’t forget to take photos of this amazing and unique experience.
After visiting the famous Maeklong Railway Market, continue the journey with a short 20-minute drive to the original floating market of Thailand, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the floating market, enjoy tasting a variety of delicious Thai desserts and local foods recommended by your guide. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as local vendors sell their goods from boats along the canal. Take your time to explore, shop for souvenirs, and capture memorable photos of this unique Thai cultural scene.

At the railway market it got super crowded and we almost lost each other. Patrick noticed right away and kept the group together without making it stressful. He also timed everything perfectly so we actually saw the train without standing there forever. At the floating market, he handled the boat and made it smooth from start to finish

Excellent and friendly guide with good English. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions as well as sourcing a few tasty treats and bites for us to try. You can skip breakfast if you want as there will be enough to try on the way! (We had mango sticky rice, soup bowl and more) The railway markets was definitely a highlight, less touristy than the floating market

We visited the Saduak floating market and Maeklong railway market with guide Henry. Henry was a very well organised, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. He sent a message to our hotel to confirm collection time and was there waiting for us on the day. We drove in a large, air conditioned van firstly to the railway market. Here Henry gave us information about the market, history and also safety for when the train arrived. He also explained that he would take us to a good spot and some shops along the way - he said not to feel obliged to buy from these stores. Once the train passed we walked the rest of the market, he collected some food for us to taste in the van and we went to the floating market. Again Henry gave us great information about the market. We toured by boat and then by foot, exploring the stalls and having some food along the way. Henry was again very knowledgeable and very friendly. We left the market to return to our hotel. Henry was giving us information and helping us with plans and information all of the way home. I would highly recommend this tour and also Henry as guide, he made it a fantastic day out

From the moment of pickup to the final drop-off, everything was flawless. Patrick managed the timing perfectly so we saw the train arrive and still had plenty of time for the boat ride. The logistics are handled so you can just relax and enjoy the sights.

You haven't seen a market until you've seen one with a train running through the middle of it. Ken was great at pointing out the best local snacks to try. The floating market was fun too very lively and full of character.

My teenagers actually put their phones down for this! They loved the thrill of the train market. Annie was wonderful with the kids and made sure we were all comfortable on the boat. A really memorable day.

The schedule was so well-planned that we never felt rushed. Tina was a brilliant guide, and a huge shoutout to our driver who was incredibly professional and smooth on the road. Having ice-cold water waiting for us in the van after the humid floating market was such a thoughtful touch.

I joined this tour alone and felt totally looked after. Tina is a gem! She helped me navigate the crowded market stalls and took some great photos of me when the train went by. The coconut ice cream at the floating market is a 10/10.

Patrick. This guy knows everyone! At the Railway Market, the vendors were high-fiving him as we walked past. It felt like we were VIPs. When the train came through, it was mind-blowing how close it got to our toes! Then at the Floating Market, he steered us away from the tourist traps and pointed out the best 'boat noodles' I’ve ever tasted. We ended the boat trip with some coconut ice cream that Patrick grabbed for the whole group. He’s funny, loud, and makes the whole day feel like a giant party. Highly recommend!

Som was on time and on point. We always knew what we were doing and what we were seeing. She positioned us in the best places, particularly for the Railway Market.
