As we made our way to Herkalio he made several statements about what we were seeing and there importance to the lively hoods of the Certain people. 5.00My wife, 19 year old daughter and I hired Leonidas to transfer us from Heraklion to Chania. We took the day to do it and stopped at some Caves, an Olive Oil press, had lunch in Rethymno, and made stop at Lake Koumas among other sites. Leonidas is an excellent driver with a kind demeanor and lots of information and local knowledge. I would highly recommend using Crete Wanderer for transportation. We felt like we got much more out of the trip than if we had driven ourselves.
