3.00Better off getting a taxi. Information did not get to the driver regarding pickup. Finally got ride then had to pay additional toll in order to make up time due to his late arrival.
They will try to swindle you to save money.

2.00We were a family of four adults traveling together. It's tough to get a large vehicle taxi to come to the resort to pick us up so it is much easier to just prebook one. I paid $112 dollars for a minivan that could take up to 6 or 8 people (can't remember which it said at the time I booked but it was definitely big enough). The driver that arrived to pick up us was on time but in a little sedan taxi with a roof rack. We literally had 4 large suitcases and one carryon sized one and three backpacks. I showed him my reservation for a minivan and asked him when a VAN was going to arrive. He had to call back to control and then it took 35 minutes to get one back to us. Fortunately I booked the shuttle early so we weren't late to the airport. They do the same sort of crap at car rental places in Mexico so -- we haven't rented one since 2021 when they intentionally charged us double and we have to fight it with our credit card.
