Kryziu Kalnas
The Hill of Crosses has about 100,000 crosses and is an historical architectural monument, it is a unique composition of folk art. It is said that first crosses were erected here by the next-of-kin of the rebels that fell in the 1831 rebellion. The Hill of crosses attracts people with it's peace, spirituality, authenticity and sacred nature and was visited by Pope John Paul II. After exploring this site, you will head to Rundale Palace, which is an approximately 40-minute drive. Rundale Palace is one of the two major baroque palaces built for the Dukes of Courland in what is now Latvia. In 1735 Duke of Courland Ernst Johann von Biron bought land in Rundale with an old medieval castle in the territory of a planned summer residence. The old castle was demolished and construction after the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli started in 1736. Your drive to Riga after your visit to the palace is approximately 1 hour.

Very good way to transit between the two capitals in a pleasant way and enrich The landscapes are worthy of another planet and wonderful. 5.00I thought it was very efficient to be able to stop at tourist sites that seemed inaccessible, such as Hill of the Cross, on the way from Vilnius to Riga. Is it cost-effective? Is it cost-effective? I don't know, but they picked me up at the designated place, the driver was kind, and my 6-year-old child was safe and comfortable with the private transportation of three family members.

4.00It was a wonderful experience just a longer drive then we expected. Our driver was very nice. I just felt bad for him because we had an extreme language barrier so we could not chat with him, but he did a good job getting us there and back and communicated what he could.

5.00The car was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Although the journey from Vilnius to Riga was long, it didn’t feel tiring at all. The driver was skilled and drove very smoothly — I usually get motion sickness easily, but I felt completely fine throughout the trip. We visited the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace, and Bauska Castle, with a lunch stop in between. The driver never rushed us and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each place at our own pace. He was kind, friendly, and very thoughtful. Although he didn’t speak any English, he always had a warm smile and patiently communicated with us using translation apps and gestures. We truly appreciated his effort and hospitality — it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-organized private trip between Vilnius and Riga, with a warm and considerate local driver!
