Our musical odyssey will begin with a private guided tour at the State Opera house (entrance fee NOT included) where you will get behind-the-scenes access to the most famous opera house in the world.
Afterwards, we'll embark on a leisurely musical stroll through the inner city of Vienna. Stops will include (but are not limited to):
- Palais Lobkowitz (where Beethoven premiered his Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” and the home of his main patron)
- Hofburg Imperial Chapel (where the Vienna Boys Choir perform every Sunday)
- The Mozart Memorial
- Former dance salon where the Waltz King Johann Strauss made the ladies swoon
- St. Stephen's Cathedral
- Mozart's home
and many more!
Heads up! Your tour includes skip-the-line entry at the Opera House, but the ticket price is not covered in the tour fee. You'll need to pay for your Opera House ticket at the entrance.

What To Expect
Wiener Staatsoper
Your state-certified accredited guide will begin your tour at the State Opera house where you will get behind-the-scenes access to the most famous opera house in the world. Learn about its most famous conductors like Gustav Mahler, and the history of this temple of music. Heads up! Your tour includes skip-the-line entry at the Opera House, but the ticket price is not covered in the tour fee. You'll need to pay for your Opera House ticket at the entrance.

5.00Lisa was such a bundle of joy during our music tour of the Vienna State Opera and the surrounding music buildings. She brought a very lively energy to her entire interaction with us. Even if members of your party aren’t super interested in music or history, her explanations of the architecture of the buildings were funny when appropriate which made the tour even more entertaining. On top of that, Lisa was very personable and there was never any awkward silence when in conversation with her. Lisa was always looking out for the group. When she heard that we were interested in seeing a concert in one of the churches in the city, she happily made the effort to check if there were still tickets available (Spoiler alert: She found out tickets were already sold out by the time she had asked, but the effort she made was greatly appreciated!) Would definitely recommend Lisa for future tours!!

Lisa went out of her way to accommodate our needs — we were a group of four adults and two children, and she made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. We all adored her! 5.00We had an amazing experience with Lisa as our guide. It was like seeing the city with an old friend! She had an encyclopedia of knowledge of not just the Opera House, but throughout the city on our walking tour. I could not figure out how to see the Opera House because it is off season for the Opera and Lisa made it all work. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00We just had a wonderful tour of the musical highlights of Vienna with Lisa! She was warm, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We booked this tour specifically because our oldest son is a musician and interested in classical music and history…Lisa filled us in on all sorts of interesting stories and details about Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler and many others. She had a wonderful repoire with our whole family. Thanks so much Lisa! (Also, fyi to fellow travelers, there is no Venmo in Europe!! Don’t get caught without cash for tips! So sorry Lisa!)
