Vienna is one of the few cities in Europe where we grow grapes and produce wine right within the city limits. Discover more on this private wine tasting tour.
First up, enjoy a tasting of two white wines, paired with tapas of ham and cheese and bread while you learn about our wine-making traditions.
Next, we’ll take a short walk over to Judenplatz, which used to be center of Jewish life in Vienna. There, you’ll enjoy lunch tasting Austrian classics like wiener schnitzel and butter schnitzel. We will try more wines.
Next is this tour’s highlight: a famous wine bar that was visited by Anthony Bourdain. You will try the most famous and highest quality of Austrian wines: the Grüner Veltliner Federspiel, which will be paired with some more tapas.
Finally, your tour will finish at a famous coffeehouse that employs seniors, giving them the opportunity to earn additional income beyond their pension. You’ll indulge in their delicious homemade pastries, along with a glass of sweet wine.

Leo was our guide and was outstanding. His extensive knowledge of wine, the wineries, and the grapes in the region was beyond belief. Great personality and so easy to talk with.

What a great and interesting tour! I was allowed to dive into the world of Austrian wines on a private tour with sommelier Leo. All wines and stops were carefully selected and a pleasure experience. Leo has an inexhaustible knowledge of wines and Vienna - that's just fun and you shouldn't miss it on a visit to Vienna. My tour was tailored to me individually. From the first contact to the end of the tour everything was just top! Thanks again and see you next time!

We did this tour in Vienna as a group of five, and it was such a treat. The mix of Austrian wines and tapas bites hits just the right note. Our guide Leo was great!. Friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly knows their wine. He took time explaining what makes each wine special, from grape types to regional quirks, and matched the tapas smartly (cheeses, small plates, etc.) so the pairings actually enhanced the wines. The pace was relaxed but never boring, and everyone in our group felt comfortable asking questions. Overall, a well-spent afternoon for anyone who loves wine, good food, and wants to dive a bit deeper into Austrian wine culture. Highly recommend.

We had a terrific day with Leo, who is a very knowledgeable unpretentious Wine expert, who answered our questions about winemaking, politics, and so much more! Terrific day with great food, wine, and conversation! We can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

It was a great experience. Our guide Pablo provided a tour of the city center that included a history of Austria and Vienna. The wine and food tasting were the highlights of our 8 day trip along the Danube. Every wine tasted was superb. At Pablo’s recommendation after we finished our tour we returned to the area for an excellent 5 star dinner at Zum Schwarzenegger Kameel. We are already planning a return trip for an area vineyard tour(s) through Wolff’s Adventures.

This was more than a wine tour—it felt like a glimpse into Vienna’s heart. My partner and I loved learning about the city’s winemaking traditions and trying such great wines. The stops were thoughtful, and ending at a cozy coffeehouse was the perfect touch to finish the tour.

Had my family visit from Iowa and we were looking for something to do in/around town. This tour was the perfect mix of wine, food, history, and culture. The tour's guide - Leo - was great as he told us all about Vienna’s fascinating winemaking history, and the food was amazing. Also the visit to the coffeehouse supporting seniors was a touching way to end the experience.

I booked this tour because my husband works in the wine industry in the US and thought it would be interesting to see the wine culture of Vienna. This lovely tour is so much more than a standard wine tour or tasting. The two of us strolled through the streets off of the Ringstrasse with our wonderful guide for the day, Pablo. We stopped in several establishments to sample delicious, Viennese cuisine, and taste Austrian wines that were exquisite. One other reviewer noted that this is so much more than a wine tour and that is such a great description of this experience. It was fun and relaxed and had such a personal touch. The conversation with Pablo ran the gamut from art to history, to restaurant recommendations in Vienna. He was attentive to our comfort and any adjustments we wanted to make (we didn't have any). As a sommelier, his knowledge of wines, not just the delicious Austrian wines, was second to none. We've taken many tours across Europe and this was one of the absolute best. It was a delightful day, and we highly recommend this special tour.

This was our favorite day of a 2-week Germany/Austrian trip for our 40th Anniversary. This was a private tour for just the two of us. It was so awesome! But it could also be enjoyed by a small group. We had a driver and an additional personal tour guide/sommelier who told us all about the history of the Wachua Valley Wine production during the 1-hour drive there. We went to two vineyard/wineries and had lunch in-between at a wonderful place we would have never been too. The tour guide was entertaining, informative, and personalized the experience. He tailored the tour to our taste. We like personal experiences and the outdoors. We spent time in the vineyards seeing how they are constructed. The morning was at a wine cooperative that has over 200 small growers. The lunch was also a wine tasting. We were able to try wines that were grown beside each other but with different philosophies to see the outcome. The afternoon was with a wine-growing family that is rather famous. All in all, the day blew us away. It went so fast because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you to Wolfi for creating these type of tours to feel the natural Austria you won’t get in the city. Also, shout out to our tour guide, Pablo. He is passionate about doing these tours. He is well connected. And he is so very friendly for an “unfriendly Austrian.” Haha.
