Our driver was early to meet us. Friendly with a smile we started our tour. Highlighting some of the points on interest near our pickup spot. The 20 minute drive through rolling hills and charming streets was comfortable and relaxing. First stop was at the vines themselves. Learning about the soil, care and maintenance of the vines. Pulled a small bunch still left and the flavor was magnificent. Next was the loading and next step to winemaking. Learning about the difference in white, rose and reds. Separating skin and stems or keeping them is where the first decision is made. Walked through the cold room were tanks held various stages of fermenting grape juice. The blending comes next and true to local tradition it’s a family affair around the table. Sitting down to taste the fabulous wines from Bandol was a real treat. Our guide Romain, a Sommelier in disguise! Explaining and providing suggestions on what pairs well with the selections made it memorable. White, Rosé and Red were equally exquisite. The location picturesque. Simply a perfect start to a spectacular day. Our drive back was through the provincial town of Brandol. Rolling hills covered with grape vines, olive trees and dotted with charming cottages. Arriving at the port city a saltiness to the air was prevalent. The aromas of bakeries filled the air. A must try on your next adventure.

We had a great time with Romain, he picked us up and took us to a vineyard where he showed us the grape vines and explained how they are grown, we even got to try a grape. We then were shown how the wine was made and tasted four lovely wines. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon and learn about the Bandol wine region with a fantastic guide!

What an absolutely wonderful experience! We’re from England and we enjoy a vineyard tour in France/Italy and this was one of the best we have been on. Luxury transport from our hotel, pleasant journey through the countryside with great conversation. A very detailed yet lighthearted tour through the wine production process, we really felt like we had been behind the scenes of the wine production process! We even met the owner of the vineyard! The tour was in perfect English and we sampled a range of wines. Many thanks for the tour and going the extra mile to make sure we had a fantastic day. Henry and Tasha

Good Care and Welcoming of Romain, the friendly sommelier guide. Very good explanations about the winemaking and land of the estate. We also had the chance to talk with the owner of the Domaine, a character and then the tasting with the wise comments of Romain. I enjoyed it."

We had a wonderful day with Romain learning about the different wines produced and tasting them! Romain collected us from the cruise terminal and we drove through the beautiful countryside to the picturesque Domaine de l'Olivette vineyard. We were shown around the vines and the processing. Learnt about the different production of red, white and rose wine, then we tasted all three. Romain was friendly, informative, professional and fun. It was a fantastic day, we also saw a Hoopoe bird!

Romain picked us up in his beautifully air conditioned car. He drove us to Domaine de L'Olivette where he explained clearly in his excellent English the journey from vine to bottle for red, white and rose wine. Very interesting. We were also able to see the whole process and ended up with of course the tasting! We were joined by the charming owner of the Domaine! Don't hesitate to join!! Merci Romain.

Romaine is a terrific guide, and the scenery is gorgeous after the sun comes out. Definitely recommend this tour if you have a cruise ship stops at Toulon.
