You can have a fun filled private tour with a local lad and some of his family (most frequently his Mum).
Nathaniel says "I have researched lots of information on the local area and am always learning and adding more every day".
The tour is operated by a 15 year old with assistance from mum.
We offer a unique youthful perspective on the history of the town of Fort William. I will lead you through the entire High Street giving you a tale or two of what happened here in the past and how life looks here now. We stop at some of the iconic buildings and monuments and I have a story or two that is not so well known!
Fort William has been a trend setter in its day and houses quite a few artefacts that can only be seen in 2 or 3 places in the whole of Britain!
We can’t wait to share it all with you.

What To Expect
Bronze Ford Model T
We have a great chat about how this chap and his car got up Ben Nevis. We will walk the length of the pedestrianised town centre, Ponting out historical details and sharing local stories. Concluding at the end of the West highland way, before visiting the old Fort and returning to the start position or a mutually agreed end point.
West Highland Way
We notice the end of the West Highland way and the beginning of the Great Glen way.

5.00Meeting locals when you travel can be difficult, but is by far best way to learn about a place. That’s exactly what you do on this tour, and it was a wonderful way to spend time learning about Fort William. From the early days through to modern times, you learned about the local history by actually visiting key sites. And of course, Nathaniel is a fantastic host! What a special young person he is. He and his family are the perfect local experts who will give you the insiders view on the town. This is a very special experience, meeting such terrific people. Absolutely highly recommended!

5.00Nathaniel and his mother Elizabeth did great, they explained a lot of things about Fort William's past and his story that you're not gonna read in any books. Also, Nathaniel is a super nice and stabilizing guy, who immediately made crumbs with ours, so it was twice as entertaining for my son. We got super short walk.
