You walk side by side through Kiruna’s romantic past. At LKAB’s Visitor Centre, soft lights reveal stories of mining innovation. The hum of machinery blends with voices of progress. At the Monument of Ancient Miners, bronze figures rise in silence. Their strength honors devotion and echoes themes of loyalty and love. In Fårhage Gruvstadsparken, weathered wood and iron tell tales of everyday life. You hear faint sounds of a vanished mining town. At the Stone Circle, ancient stones lean into whispers of ritual. The cold air brushes your skin as myths awaken. Inside Kiruna Church, warm wood glows beneath Gothic arches. Do sacred places feel different when shared together?

Daniel our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, including the fact that Kiruna is being relocated, so much of the old part is being demolished. He knew how to get around and what we could and could not see given the current situation and took us to as much of the old part as possible (my area of interest)
